Haunted prt 10

ok so this prt is sorta, well, umm, nothing really happens. so next prt I promise somthing mre exciting.

I walked in, leaving the door open for Mason and walked across the smooth floor to the kitchen. "Katherine"! my mother yelled as she ran over to me with her eyes wide. She smashed me into a hug, my mother is a very excited person the days she isn't working like a shell is uncovered. "hey mom" I say looking across the kitchen to see dad smiling at me with his dark brown eyes twinkling behind his glasses as he held some book in his hands. "Sweety! Where were you today!? I wanted to take you to get our nails and hair done"! she yelled like a child that didn't get what she wanted. "Sorry mom I was with my friends and I didn't just get home" I said trying to calm her, " You were here? but where I didn't see you" she said, and I looked up to see her eyes questioning me. " I was wit-" I was abut to finish when the kitchen door suddenly opened. "Sorry to interrupt, but would you like me to plant then the pumpkins now or wait until early next week"? I look to see Mason standing in the doorway with his blue eyes a bit wide and he looked as if he ran in here. " Mason! My dear don't you look adorable today"! my mothere yelled as she let go of me and made her way to Mason to enclose him in a hug. " thank you Mrs. Lovebell" He said politely as my mother let go. "And yes! Get the pumpkins planted as soon as possible! I love the orange against the fall leaves"! she says excitedly. "yes Miss Lovebell." he says as his eyes dart to mine with what looked like a warning look? and then return to looking calm. "I'll get right on it" he says as he turns to leave, "Oh yes, where were you today darling"? she asks as she turns back to me, I see Mason stop a bit but keep walking slowly out of the door. " I was..... by the pond" I said, why didn't I say Mason? Why did Mason get weird when I was about to answer? Was he embarrassed that he hung out with me? :/. Mason was now out of the room and I looked down at the floor, "whats wrong sweet heart"? I looked up to see my mother looking at me. "nothing, I guess I'm tired. Night" I said I walked out of the room I looked at the floor as I walked.

I was walking down a slender pale yellow hallway but suddenly I go flying to the right and feel pressure on my non injured arm. Suddenly I was still and was in one of the downstairs bathrooms with light blue walls and oddly bright white light. The pressure on my arm was gone and I whip around to see, Mason? "What gives"? I ask. He sighs, " Did you tell your mother that we hung out"? he asked while looking into my eyes. So he was embarrassed to be hanging out with me, that stings. I look down, "no need to worry, I didn't even mention you. So get to work, the pumpkins won't plant themselves" I said and I turned to the door way "Katherine"? I heard him say sounding confused. Geesh its not like he doesn't know what he did, I paused for a second "Its miss Katherine to you" I left to the hallway.

That sounded so bad! what came over me!? How could I be so heartless and say that!? I guess I was just hurt but I sounded like those snobs I never wanted to be. I kept walking down the hall and turned right and started walking faster and faster until I was running. How could I be so mean!? But he was embarrassed to be seen with me, that's a first. Usually everyone wants to be seen with me to boost there popularity to be hanging out with the "rich kid in school". Well not everyone, there's Regy and Jason, Regy doesn't care what anyone thinks and neither does Jason and actually I have never seen them hang out with anyone else beside me or each other. But still Mason works for me so wouldn't it be bad if i was seen with him? Wait... is that why he didn't want me telling my parents? It would look bad for me? Then I just did tha- , BAM! I felt my body hit against a cold hard and flat surface and I felt the back of my body hit the floor. I looked up at the white ceiling. Did I really just run into a wall? Seriously!? I thought that only happened on tv. "Miss Katherine"? I heard a faint voice ask. I heard foot steps that grew louder and louder until they stopped. "May I"? I heard none other than Mason's voice ask from above me as he offered me his hand. I took it as he helped me up. "are you -" I cut him off, "Mason I'm sorry" I said looking into his calm eyes. "fot wha-" I cut him off again " I just thought that you didn't want to be seen with me but you just didn't want me to look bad for hanging out with the help which is really nice and I doubted you I'm so sorry I will do everything I can to make it up to yo-" his hand gently covered my mouth and he raised an eyebrow and a devilish smile appeared on his face and his eyes looked amused " I forgive you" he said as he removed his hand. He started to turn to walk away, "Wait where are you going"? I asked, he stopped so he was only halfway turned so I could see his face " those pumpkins aren't going to plant themselves Miss, have a good night". Did he just take what I said and turned it against me? >:(. I could see a smile spread on his face, "by the way, watch where you are going Miss. There are walls all over this place" And with that he turned and walked away. Wow this boy angers me! He goes from sweet to jerk in an instance, but he can help me. So I must learn to put up with him! :D
