By light of distant suns we swam
All dappled in the silver light
Warm summer air, cool mountain lake
Delicious in the moonlit night
Through liquid onyx, placid calm,
mercury sheen all glistening bright,
on skin and hair, reflected love,
dressed in dark and silvery white
Nightswimming: naked velvet touch
of water warmed by summer’s might
trembling, dried by lunar breath
goosebump hug of pure delight
And later in love’s calming glow,
soul windows give us calming sight.
Wrapped in memory, lost in love
I breathe with you and hold you tight
