Life as a waitress

I smiled a fake smile at the table I was standing at "May I get you anything to drink?" I asked and they looked at each other real quick and the person who I'm guessing is the dad started talking "I'll have a NewCastle and they'll-" he points to the two little boys across from him "will have a Coke and Dr. Pepper" "is Pepsi okay?" I asked us not having Coke, one of the boys nodded and I smiled and went over to the bar. I filled two glasses of soda then a glass mug if beer and headed back over. It was a slow day for my section and I had only this table and a person at the bar and my best friend Nikki had one person at the bar.  sat down the glasses in front of each person "okay, a NewCastle, a Coke, and a Dr. Pepper" I said and they nodded and I took out my notepad "ready to order?" I asked and the dad nodded "we'll have a sausage, bacon, and pineapple pizza" he said and I wrote it down surprised the little boys would eat a pizza like that, of course I grew up with Nikki who was a very picky eater. I went to the back and put the order up for the chefs to cook. I then headed over to the person at the bar "anything else I could get you to night?" I asked and she shook her head "just the check please" and my mind instantly went to what Nikki had been saying all week after she talked me into watching 'Adventure Time' with her where Finn and Jake went around making a movie and now Nikki would randomly say in a weird voice "check please" it annoyed the fuck out of me. At least this person said it like a normal person. I nodded and went to the register and put through her order and came back a minutes later with the check. She paid cash. No tip. Bitch. She headed out and I rested with Nikki as we watched the last people eat for a few minutes waiting for the time we should come in and ask if they need anything else. I was the only person with someone in their section so the others left early. Nikki was my best friend and we lived together so she waited for me. Plus her shift wasn't over yet. I t was 8:35 almost nine when we get off. Unless someone comes in we leave. I went back over to my table as Nikki talked to the chef bored out of her mind. Once at the table I plastered the fake smile on again "anything else for you tonight?" I asked "can we have some ice cream?" one little boy asked and the dad shook his head "no Ethan" he turned to me "just the check thank you" he said and I nodded and once I got there Nikki handed me the check when I raised an eyebrow at the jester she shrugged "I'm bored okay?" she answered I chuckled and rolled my eyes and said "thanks" then went back to the table. He paid cash also. and HE was KIND ENOUGH to tip a ten. Thank you random guy! I stared at the clock with Nikki waiting for nine it was 8:53. Just seven more minutes and we're home free. I was getting my jacket and was about to take off the apron when I heard the jingle of the door opening. I turned around to see five guys wearing hats and sun glasses come in. Earl the guy who seated people put them in a booth that was in Haley's section. She left an hour ago for a doctor appointment. I looked to the side at Nikki "flip a coin?" she asked "sure whatever" I sighed and got out a coin "heads" I called and she frowned and a smile tugged at the edges of my lips. I flipped the coin and since Nikki is special she smacked the coin from my hand and it fell to the floor and landed on it side. It's side so it was neither heads nor tail. I thought that only happened in movies! Joey put his head through the order window and smiled "look like you to share" he said and Nikki shrugged "sounds alright, you get orders I deliver food?" she suggested "alright with me" I answer taking my jacket off and walking over. They looked up from they're menus when I turned to them "may I get you anything?" I asked with my fake smile failing, one boy hid a chuckle poorly and I heard him mutter "she obviously doesn't want to be here" I heard a faint accent. Nikki will die when she comes over. She loves accents, any accent will make her fall in love with a guy. It's pathetic really. "Well you know the secret, I don't want to be here so wanna drink?" I asked impatiently. I wanna be home in my nice cozy fluffy bed with my dog Molly curled up beside me. Today hadn't been the best. I had a hard day at work and had to work triple shifts with Nikki, was that even aloud? So many people called out sick today cause they wanted to get in line for the new Iphone five. It's just a phone people, get a life. I found my ex wanted to get back together for the fourth time. Sorry Justin, I'm not that stupid and my heart won't be broken by you again. "I'll have a Coke" one said and he also had an accent "can that be Pepsi?" I asked and he nodded, they ordered "one coke, three beers, and a orange juice" I repeated it to them to make sure I got it right and they nodded so I went over to Nikki who was gonna die for good. Once she delivered the drinks I'm sure she would die and I would have to take her body to the the morgue. All the guys had accents. I handed the order to Nikki and she got a tray to carry them as I filled the glasses. I watched her go over there and saw her eyes widened as soon as one talked. and heard a faint "I'm sorry but I have to say this, I love your accents they're to die for" I saw the boys chuckled at that comment and she came back over giggling "OMFG you could have told me they had accents!!!" I smiled "I was waiting for you to fall on the ground dead" I answered and she glared "I don't die for accents" then her face lit up when I raised an eyebrow "okay your right, I was begging to Tim Tebow that I wouldn't faint, did you notice they're british?! the best accent and one was irish! the two accents I'm worst at" she said excitedly and I smiled at her excitement. It's just accents. I don't get it. After a bit Joey stuck his head out "so you girls gonna stand there or are you gonna get an order?" I rolled my eyes smiling at him "I'm going Joey I'm going" as I turned to leave I saw Nikki put five dollar in the cash register and take five cookies from the dessert stand. I smiled as she glanced over at me and made a point of they were for her only by shoving one in her mouth. SO lady like Nikki. I went back to the table a real smile on my face as I watched Nikki eat her cookies like a maniac. Poor girl. I think she was dropped a few times as a baby. "Ready to order?" I asked and they nodded "they got four pizzas and a plate of nachos" fuck they can eat! I repeated the order then went back to Nikki who had just one cookie left, she turned to me "should I eat it now? or in five minutes?" she asked "does it really mater?" I asked and she rolled her eyes "and you say your a member of cookie club" and I laughed at her "Nikki, we came up with that when that was Alech's signature on his texting, its not a real club!" and she shrugged "suite yourself" I rolled my eyes smiling and went to go talk with Joey as we waited for the pizzas to finish cooking "so Joey, hows Hunter?" I asked suggestively. Joey rolled his eyes "Hunter is just a friend girls, just cause I'm, gay doesn't mean I can't have guy friends" he answered and Nikki gave him a nudge with her elbow "yes but do you and your guy friend gold hands and hug all the time and share food and basicly everything?" she asked "he's my best friend" he started but Nikki interrupted him "and so are Ali and I, and we don't do that" and Joey stared at her with an "are you joking' look "I believe you to do all that, plus the awkward hugs where you grab each other's ass, and I don't kiss Hunter on the cheek or call him my 'husband' or joke around about breaking up for One Direction" he answered "excuse me for having a sexy sister" I answered. Joey was Nikki and I's best friend other than each other Nikki made a huge gasp and out her hand on her heart in fake hurt "are you saying I'm not your wifey anymore Hazza?" she asked using our nicknames for each other I smiled "yes, I'm sorry Boo Bear but Joey and I are secretly dating and Joey got up "don't bring me into your weird marriage fights" then went back and pulled out the pizzas. Yes Nikki and I called each other Hazza and Boo Bear or Haz and Lou. What we love One Direction and loved the Harry and Louis friendship, so why not call each other that. Nikki got the plates and put them on her arms careful not to burn herself. She went over to the table and she stayed and talked for a bit. I never got why she was so talkative with the customers. She came back smiling like crazy and pulled me into the walk in freezer where we happened to have our private talks. Once the door was closed she squealed in a high pitched girly voice that made my ears hurt "OMT OMT OMT!!!" she said over and over till I grabbed her shoulders "NIkki! what is it?" and she smiled "our five boys... ARE SO CUTE!!!" I rolled my eyes "don't do that to me, I thought they like asked you on a date or something" and she smiled "I wish!" then being fan crazy like she is she started humming 'I Wish' by One Direction. We went back out and once there her phone made a ding. "Ooooo" she said going over to it and texting back who ever she was talking to "what's up?" I asked about the phone and she smiled "I have a new best friend and you have a rival" she said and I raised and eyebrow and looked at the phone. Of course she was on Wattpad. She's fucking obsessed. I looked at the person she was talking to "NiallerTime" I read out loud and read the message "your welcome yay new best friend!" I clicked on her profile pic and was brought to her wall where she flat out said "Niall Horan and Harry Styles are MINE" exact words I swear. I answered "bitch please Harry is mine - Ali" NiallerTime didn't answer right away so I just went over to the table. "Anything else for you tonight?" I asked and they looked at each other and one burst out with an irish accent "what's best for dessert?" and I shrugged "have to ask Nikki, be right back if you don't mind" they shook their heads saying it was okay for me to leave and I got Nikki and brought her over "so Nikki they lads want to know desserts" she smiled "well, the ice cream is really good and so is the cheese and red velvet cakes BUT I would have to say the best things are the chocolate chip cookies" "and the brownies are really good to" I added. I loved brownies. I once got brownie something at 21 Choices then got two brownies chopped in. I also will die for chocolate. "We'll have a cookie each" one with dark brown almost black hair and a hair cut like Justin said. When a curly haired one added "and a brownie" I smiled. I liked him. He wants a brownie. I smiled as I wrote it down be right back" I answered and pushed Nikki away when I grabbed the cookies and said loud enough so the boys could here so she would stop bugging me to give her a cooke "Nikki stop, you eat enough of the customers cookies already!" she glared at me as the boys looked over. I went over and gave them their food "check please" the blonde one said and I cringed when he said it in Nikki's annoying voice. I rolled my eyes and finding Nikki walking up with the check and I left to Joey and called "there leaving, night Joey see you tomo!" "see yah" he called back and I put on my jacket for good this time.

I smiled when I heard one say "check please" and instantly got it and brought it over sticking my tongue out when Ali rolled her eyes. "Sorry about her, she isn't really a fan of Adventure Time 'check please' since that's what I've done to her all week" I said as I set it down and the blonde smiled at me "fav character?" he asked and I thought for a sec "I like Flame Princess allot along with Rainicorn" I answered "you?" I asked "Gunther" and I smiled "ooo I love penguins!" I looked over to the back where Ali was waiting all bored like. They paid with card and I went over real quick to ring them up. After they paid Ali grabbed the tip which was a twenty. WOO go us! We split it even then left.
