0800 Hours: Preface

This is an experimental kind of story written in response to a challenge issued to me while I was gallivanting around Europe sans internet. The challenge basically consisted of one thing - you can only use sound. So I immediately set up a scenario where I could use as much dialogue as possible (◡‿◡✿).

I contemplated putting this piece in the 'other' category along with short story rather than sci-fi since it's not actually a novel or anything, but apparently that's been renamed 'random', so I left it as is. It is a sci-fi setting after all, for that my favourite thing about this is the bittersweet romance. If you know me, you'll know exactly what kind of romance to anticipate... ;)
