Amy's brother was in college and every so often she'd go to one of the parties there. She said it was cool because she got to meet different people instead of seeing the same faces from school. As we headed toward our destination, there was a lot of laughter in the car.

"So Amy," Natalie said, "Do you have fun with all these new guys?" She raised an eyebrow sugestively.

"No, I do not!" Amy replied in an offended, but amused way. She was driving, so she couldn't turn aroung and smack Natalie on the arm, but I could tell she wanted to.

This is good I told myself. I'm starting to pick up on all of those little things that people do in certain, normal, social situations. Maybe it won't be so hard for me to fit in tonight.

The drive didn't take long and we soon arrived at a house with loud music and even louder people. Apparently a lot of these parties are held at somebody's house because the colleges don't allow students to host such large and wild  parties in the residences. We went into the house together and the placed was packed! There was so little room that I had to stick close to our group, but I was fine with that. Being around so many people made me kind of nervous.

Eventually though, our group broke up and everyone was dancing with some cute older guy that they met. I was standing by a wall and trying to blend into the background when a boy, Anthony he said his name was, asked me if I would like to join him on the dance floor.

"O-Okay" I replied shakily. It'd been ages since I last danced and I was already on edge, but I did want to have some fun while I was here. When we got to the actual dancing, it was easier than I thought to just let go and allow my body to sway to the rythm of the music. I don't know how long we danced for, but I was worn out when Anthony took my hand and led me to a quieter and less crowded room.

"Having fun?" he asked.

"Yeah." I answered.

"Good. Me too." he said as he turned to face me.

I noticed that I was pressed up against the wall when Anthony brushed his fingers on my hips and I couldn't back up. Then, before I knew what he was doing, he leaned over and kissed me and his hands started to travel up from my waist.

That's when the panic rose in my chest and I pushed him away. "What's wro-" he began, but I left before he could finish his sentence. I made my way outside as fast as I could, taking deep breaths once I got there. I knew he wasn't going to hurt me, Anthony just wanted to make out. It was just a reflex for me to flee.

Luckily, I wasn't out there for long before the other girls found me and asked if I was ready to go. A few people were going to go downtown and see if there were any clubs to party in and we were going to tag along.

"Yeah, I'm ready." I said.
