   Alice’s P.O.V

I walked into my first class and made my way to my seat. I paid attention for as long as I possibly could, but my mind kept drifting back to this morning when I arrived at my locker. Could it really be true what Max had said, could someone really be my secret admirer. Or was he just being nice to me? I still couldn’t help but think that it couldn’t be real and it was nothing but a joke.

I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts as people clad in red and pink with hearts all over them walked through the door. Ugh, I hated this part of today. Candygrams.

I bowed my head and carried on staring at the page in front of me, I really didn’t want to see everyone else so happy while I just sat here like a sad loser. It was just like every year. I breathed a quiet sigh and tried to get back into the text. I was surprised when a box was put in front of me. It was a candygram. I looked up to see one of the deliverers of the candygram’s. Sheila, smile at me before walking off to deliver more. Surely they had the wrong person. Great, now I would have to walk around like an idiot trying to find the actual owner of it in order to return it.

I read the label to see that it had my name written on it. I turned it over and read the note on the back.

   Dear Alice,

Yes, this is for you, so don’t make up some kind of crazy plan in your head that this has been some kind of mix up and this belongs to someone else, because it doesn’t; it belongs to you.

I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself before I carried on reading. This person really knew me well.

I have always found that cute about you, the way that you convince yourself things. I find a lot of things cute about you. I hope that you enjoy this box of candy, although it could never compare to your sweetness.

   Happy Valentine’s Day

        Your Secret Admirer xx

I felt a smile form on my face and I couldn’t help blushing. Suppose I really did have a secret admirer. For once in my life I actually felt special, wanted, not alone. I hate to admit it, but I was actually kind of enjoying this day.

   Max’s P.O.V

I took my seat at lunch, the seat which would enable me to see everything perfectly. I had convinced my photography teacher to dismiss me early so that I could make sure that everything was in place. Alice made her way into the cafeteria and my breathing caught in my throat. This wasn’t unusual; I always had these reactions around her. She made me act in ways that no one else could possibly make me. I just hope that this worked out how I had planned.

   Alice’s P.O.V

I made my way to the lunch table where my friends were sitting and pulled out my sandwiches. All of my friends were looking at me with secretive looks on their faces. Something was up.

   “What’s up?” I asked hesitantly.

“Nothing,” they all said too quickly. This only confirmed my suspicions that something was definitely up.

“Oh, this is for you by the way,” Casey said pushing a cupcake towards me. I looked at him confused. “It’s from your secret admirer,” he winked.

“What?! Are you in on this? Is this a joke? Who’s behind it? Is it Emily?”

“Ahh, now I can’t tell you who it is, you shall have to find out who that is for yourself. But I can assure you that it’s not Emily and it’s not a joke.” So this really was real? I know that Casey would never lie to me. So who on Earth could this ‘Secret Admirer’ be? It couldn’t be any of my close friends as they were all of the female gender, apart from Casey, who was openly homosexual. I looked around me in an attempt to scope out who could be my secret admirer, but instead I saw Camilla, a girl from my sociology class, walking towards our table with an abundance of roses in her arms. It was quite a funny sight really; I held back a chuckle, as she walked closer. I wondered who they were for. I was taken aback when the roses were dropped in front of me. I looked up at her confused and then back at the roses, then once again back at her.
