if I ever had one story to tell
To finally take your leave
And to sincerely wish you well.
Just like every other love story
That didn't meet its happy end
I still look for every reason
Of what went wrong and where?
If only you were taken
Maybe married and had a wife
If only you didn't love me
Then it could've been a perfect lie.
We could have broken the shackles
We could've been freed.
But the truth is you did not believe
That we were meant to be.
It finally dawned upon me
Both a sorrow and a relief.
By letting me go, you couldn't see
That you did not choose me.
