It was finally the day the Seniors had all been waiting for. Graduation Day. The day that changed everyone's lives forever. You're either to become rich and/or famous, or you're poor having to work on your feet twenty-four seven.

"How does it feel to finally be graduating?" Zonnique's mother asked her.

"Fantastic," Zonnique sighed smoothing down her dress.

"And do you think it was a good think that I moved you back down here for six months?"

"Yes," she nodded fixing her hair,"I feel like I've had closure here."

"Good," Tiny patted her back,"I'm proud of you, you know that?"

"I know." Zonnique smiled before giving her mother a hug.

"Knock. Knock," Courtney's mother walked in,"Don't you just look beautiful?"

"Thank you." Zonnique blushed.

"I was just coming in to ask if you were ready. We're about to start taking pictures."

"I'll be out in a second." Zonnique smiled.

"Alright but don't be too long." Tiny smiled before leaving out with Courtney's mom.

Zonnique turned to the mirror and played with her hair a little. She ran her hands down her dress and sighed.

"What am I going to do?" she mumbled.

When she finally felt ready, she headed downstairs. Courtney was sitting on the couch under Chresanto's arm while Ray was sitting on the couch across from them. He was occupied on his phone.

Zonnique took a seat next to him and just looked at his face. He slowly looked up from his phone and faced her. They didn't say anything, they just stared. Almost as if they were communicating through their eyes.

"Alright guys," Ray's mother clapped,"let's take these pictures. We don't want you to be late."

Everyone stood up and huddled together to take their picture. They took a whole bunch before deciding they didn't want them to be late.

"I guess we'll just take my truck," Chresanto's mom said," I'll drive the kids."

"And I'll drive the adults," Courtney's father said hopping into his truck.

"I'll take Zonnique's car." Zonnique's mom said.

They followed behind each other to the school and found some place to park. Bahja looked at Zonnique and could tell that she was nervous.

"Are you going to be okay Zonnique?"

"I'm fine ... Just a little nervous is all."

"You're going to be okay," Breaunna rubbed her shoulder,"we did it and so can you. You deserve it."

Zonnique looked at them grinning from ear to ear. She pulled them into a hug and held in her tears.

"You guys are the best."

"We know. Now go on and get your cap and gown." Bahja patted her back.

Zonnique, Courtney, and Rayan all went to the back of the gym to get their cap and gowns. Most of the seniors were there. Mason spotted Zonnique slipping her gown on and came over to her.

"Hey Zonnique."

"Huh," she looked up,"oh hey Mason. What's up?"

"I just wanted to thank you."
