They soared high above the cloudes. Fire burning in the girls veins. Almost blinded by the sun balancing on the peak of the mountain, making it impossible to see the full view. The girl squirted her eyes angrily at the sun, but a hertwarming smile spread on her lips. Cold air filled their lungs. Glittering dropplets of water frose in the girls eyelashes and covered the dragons scales of amethyst. The pair had not a worry in the world when up in the air.
They barelly moved till the sun fell behind the mountain. In perfect harmony, as one being instead of two they began to loose gratitude. Dragon nor girl needed to speak a singel word nor think a singel tought as both knew the other better than themself.
Slowly falling throuh the cloudes. The girl named Taria reached out her hand and let herself catch the cold water in the air. Not long ago, before being a rider she had belived as all humans, Dwarfs and Urgals that clouds were made of cotton-like substance. Glad of her newfound knowledge she let out a joyfull laugh from the bottom of her heart.
Tarias hair was damp from the mist when they broke free from the cloudes. The scales covering the dragons body shone like a thousand suns. No other being could compete with a flying dragoness. And Orinta, as the name of the dragon were, was well aware of that.
Far below them lay Thoundron, the city at the end of Alagăesia and home for all dragons and riders of all races. In the last light of day it looked like the city was aflame. The whole valley shone in a golden light. An aerie at a high peak by the mountains wall watched over the city. Two stone dragons spitting fire of stone over it entrence. No other than the riders was able to come and go as they wished there.
Fistbumping in the air Taria cried out the happines almost choking her. And as she did Orinta let go of a groundshaking roar that skared of hundreds of birds all around the aerie.
They were finally home!
