Chapter 19~ When trouble comes around I start running. Literally

My shoes hit the ground fast; as I ran as if my life was on the line, I passed buildings, I passed trees. The wind blew my ponytail back, front and around again, it all came to a stop when the timer clicked off.

I checked the time

3 minute 14

I sighed and looked up to the sky, my breathing heavy but not too bad. I was silently thinking, catching my breath when I heard footsteps, loud, and heavy

I turned trying to catch a look

A man in a black coat, hood up and hands in pockets

What?

I turned again this time a little more obviously

He looked as if he was running straight towards… me

I watched as he continued head down, fast pace

I turned back around, took a deep breath in and continued running

This time my feet hit the ground faster, and faster. As fast as I could get them. I continued turning corners and keeping an eye out if he followed

First corner

Second

Third

He continued to follow, keeping close to my pace

My chest started to hurt, my breathing continued to get heavy, my legs got sore and I could feel myself start to panic

His footsteps continued to hear out behind me. It must have been the tenth corner I turned when it stopped, the footsteps, the breathing, the chase.

I stopped and leaned against a tree; steadied my breathing and looked back to where he would be

Nothing…

I sighed

I----- but----- hmm----

I looked to my watch

…. I should get back

I turned around, lifting myself off the tree when

“Hmph!” I hit something or someone hard

“Hey. you alright?”

The man’s voice was deep and breathy; he pulled down his hood and looked me in the eye

“Why were you following me?”

He smiled

“I wasn’t”

And with that the hooded man ran passed me
