So much of a mess

She was so much of a mess that when I held her hand again glass cut the insides of my palms.
She was so much of a natural disaster throughout the seasons, destroying herself 
The aftermath she left of me was just enough to push me back to toxic
And it makes me sick to think about her right now.
But a promise is a promise on this playground pity, and I swore I wouldn't leave her side.
Even though the tides are higher, hail hitting harder this time.
Ive got ice in my skin, melting with the streams of blood flowing down my arms.

They should have stayed home when my light was gone
They should have stayed home, and things wouldn't be so wrong
They should have stayed home, never gone out at all
They should have stayed home, and they can't take it back this time.

Just know I don't know who I am
Or what I'm doing with you
