foundation- make sure it matches your skin tone- not too dark but not too pale. and B L E N D- you do NOT want to have a line on your jaw where you can see where the foundation ends.
matte foundation is the best- you really don't want your face looking oily or blotchy.
highlighter- yEsssssss HiGhLiGhTeR is kEy. put a bit on the tip of your nose and some on your cheekbones, and even some on your eyebrow line.
a lot of highlighter, nuff said.

blush- a really rosy look is very aesthetic and blush can help you achieve that look. never put on too much because then you'll look like a 5 year old girl who got into her mums makeup. nose blush seems to be very popular, but rosy cheeks is also key.
