"Ughh Daddy!" Sadie whinged for the 15th time that afternoon in the backseat and Blake sighed.

"We're almost there Baby." He reassured, attempting to keep his cool and Sadie groaned, pushing her colouring book off her lap.

She had been sitting in the car all day and was starting to lose her cool. Blake and Miranda didn't blame her for losing her patience, but they were getting frustrated by all the whinging. It was late afternoon and they knew they were almost there, but keeping their almost 4 year old entertained was proving to be more difficult than they anticipated.

After a few more minutes of complaining, Blake reached over from his spot in the drivers seat and nudged Miranda. She looked up in shock and smiled she she saw what Blake was trying to show her.

"Sadie, look honey!" Miranda exclaimed as she pointed out the side of the car and Sadie's eyes lit up real big when she saw the the shoreline on the horizon.

"We're here!" She announced excitedly and Blake and Miranda both laughed.

"Almost!"

For the next half hour, Sadie's eyes stayed glued to the shoreline and her mouth dropped in amazement as she discovered a new part of the country.

When Blake exited the highway, he smiled as he saw the "Welcome to Alyse Beach" sign and he followed Miranda's direction to the address of the real estate. When Blake spotted the destination and parked the truck, Sadie's head shot up as the truck stopped rumbling.

"Are we there?" She asked with wide eyes and Blake turned around and shook his head.

"5 minutes Babe, I need to get the keys first." He told her and she sighed, but sat up straighter in her car seat and took a sip of her juice box.

Blake jumped out of the truck so that he could get the keys for the beach-side house they were renting while Sadie and Miranda waited in the car. As they waited, Miranda reached in to the back and tried to clean up the mess Sadie had created with her toys and the empty sandwich bags of her snacks.

The second Blake opened up the door and got back in the drivers seat, he held up the keys and Miranda and Sadie both grinned. He handed Miranda the keys and a pile of information brochures the realtor had given them and turned the ignition back on.

Miranda read the directions to him as they navigated their way through the main street and then down a small coastal road on the side of the town. Miranda stared out at the Bermuda architecture in awe as they passed the different houses and Blake smiled over at the amazement in her face.

When they reached the end of a quiet street, Blake pulled up the car and trained the ignition off.

"And we're here!"

Sadie cheered and Miranda breathed a sigh of relief, her body growing cramped after spending so long in the truck. As Miranda climbed out and stretched out her arms and legs, Blake opened Sadie's door and unbuckled her, laughing as she wriggled out of his grip and on to the ground. They were just about to tell her to help, but Sadie made a bee line for the front of the house, leaving Blake and Miranda to get their gear out of the back.

"Just get the suitcases, the rest can wait." Miranda instructed as she grabbed a suitcase and the duffle bag that contain towels.

Blake grabbed 2 more suitcases, before he closed the tailgate and locked the truck with the automatic key. They only needed the essentials tonight, they were all tired and they could get the rest in the morning.

Blake followed Miranda around to the front door, where Sadie was jumping up and down in anticipation. Miranda put one of the bags down and unlocked both locks, before pushing the door open and chuckling as Sadie bolted inside.
