After staying at Adam and Ciara's house for almost a week now, it was time for me to leave. To be honest I actually do not want to go back to my apartment but I just cannot stay here forever. I have to attend college. I must have missed a lot of work. I need also to go back to work, even though I have called them saying that I am sick, I know that they will be cutting that from my payment and I hate it. I need that money.

I have not seen Luke all week too. He has called a couple of times and texted but I ignored him and warned both Ciara and Adam to not bring him here. I know that was wrong but kissing him in the first place was worst.

I throw on a skinny jeans and white lace shirt and put on my white converse. Pushing my hair up into a half ponytail, I quickly applied my makeup and grabbed my bag heading to college.

I only had two classes until now and they were stressful as hell. I did not imagine that being absent for a week would make me miss this much work. It seemed like they almost finished up the syllabus for this semester. The good thing is that my French professor gave me two more days to finish my assignments.

"So, I need to write an Essay about La différence entre le Nord et le Sud de la France, but in what way?" I asked the girl sitting next to me. Everyone was out of the amphy the second the professor dismissed us but she offered to help me and I was more than glad that she did.

"You can compare between them in everything. I mean the weather, social costumes and the accent too." She explained nicely.

"Oh I get it now but does it have to be all in French?" I groaned and she laughed. I mean I love French and it has been my favorite subject in high school but writing a whole essay is not that easy.

"Oui."

"My God!"

"Well I can always help you if you want, I'm quite good." She offered kindly.

"Ohh I don't know how to thank you enough, but that would be awesome." I am literary jumping right now. This girl was sent to me from heaven.

"I'm Claire by the way." She smiled.

"And I'm Leah." I smiled back.

" Nice to meet you." she extended her hand for me to shake which i gladly took.

" Nice knowing you Clair."

After an hour of Claire giving me more explanations and me pretending that I understood everything she was saying in French it was time for both of us to return back to classes. We said our goodbyes and she promised to visit so she can help me write my essay.

Throwing my bag over my shoulder I headed to my Literature course, which was on the other side of college. Damn! Why does it have to be this far. Kicking stones on my way, my mind wondered back to Luke. I really hope that he has been taking care of my apartment or I will have to kick him out, but where will I find another roommate who will offer to pay for three months bills.

"I told him that I like you, a lot. I liked you since that spring day I saw playing guitar in campus."

His words suddenly echoed through my mind. How could he still remember that day? That means that he has feelings for me since three years even the time when I was still with Eric. He cannot be serious! I am too messed up to be liked by someone. Speaking of the devil, there he is.

He was leaning on that big tree with a group of girls and guys around him. A black jeans clang to his torso and he wore a black shirt with a red flannel on top. His gaze averted and he saw me. I quickened my pace but he was quicker to follow me.

"Leah?" He questioned as if not believing I am in front of him.

"No, I'm Satan dressing up as her." I replied, my sarcasm high in the air.

"Where have you? I was sick worried about you, I even thought Ciara gave me the wrong number." He asked. I could clearly see the concern in his eyes. What is wrong with him?

"And why the hell do you care? Can't you see that I was clearly avoiding you?" I annoyingly replied, already getting sick of this whole situation.

"But you were perfectly fine when you left. I thought you were just spending the night." He asked.

"That is none of your business." I harshly replied walking away from him but he grabbed my elbow turning me to face him.

"Wait. Was this because of the kiss? D-Didn't you like it?" he looked down. I swear his cheeks were burning red.

"Yeah it was horrible!" I screamed yanking my arm and running away.

I turned the corner and leaned my back on the wall. My breathing was heavy and quick making me feel like I am about to pass out. Why did I say that? I am such a horrible person. He was clearly embarrassed and I told him that. While deep down, and no matter how much I denied it, I know that I enjoyed his kiss.

I have to be kidding!

By the time my classes ended, I was ready to head for work and unlike my studies I enjoyed my work. It was not something fancy, I was just a normal worker at a small flowers shop but I have always enjoyed being there and around flowers since it remind me a lot of my hometown and the back yard of my family house. Talking about my family I have not spoken to them in a long time, I hope they are fine and handling things nicely.

It has been three years since I moved here for college. My first year here was the worst because I was feeling so lonely and kind of lost, things became better after I met Eric, but it turned out that he was a total jerk and then shit just happened.

As I reach the store James, the other worker, is leaning against the brick wall greeting me with a big smile. He has been here only for two months but we have got quiet along. He came here to New York also for college but dropped out after a month saying that it was not how he expected it and that it was not his thing.

"I can't believe you left work alone for the whole week! I know you haven't been sick." He laughed.

"I'm sorry but a lot of things happened and I needed a break." I apologized sincerely.

"It's okay. Well, I better get going since you're here. There's a party tonight at this frat house and guess who is going to crash it?" He tells me excitedly.

"But you're not a student, James." I questioned.

"Who the hell cares, plus no one will notice." He explained.

"Cool. Then have a great time." I smiled and he nodded as he headed for the door before turning back.

"Actually you should come, Leah. You'll have fun." He offered.

"Oh I don't think so. I should just probably finish my shift and go home."

"C'mon. You've been home for a week, aren't you tired of it. You'll be really sick that way." I fumbled with the roses in my hands as I thought of it.

"I don't even know anyone, besides my shift won't end until ten." I told him as I sneaked at the back room to check if Rosalie, the owner, is there.

"You know me and ten is the perfect time. I'll pick you up. Just come..please?" he pleaded.

I do not know if I should trust him or not, I have never been with him out of the shop and besides the frat parties have a reputation, they never end well.

What is the worst that could happen?

"Okay, I will come." I said smiling sweetly.
