This introduction is being written almost 4 years since DWST was first published in the summer of 2014, however with the influx of new readers each day, I felt like this forward is very overdue, yet very necessary.

TRIGGER WARNINGS for Drunk Words, Sober Thoughts include violence, vulgar language, bullying, and depictions of depression and suicide. There are no warnings before the chapters in which these events occur, however the most intense scene is during Chapter 42.
TAGALOG is a Filipino dialect and is featured throughout this story as our main protagonist is of Filipino descent. There will be no large chunks of Tagalog prose, however a sentence or word will be interweaved between the dialogue. Translations will always be provided.
RE-READERS may spoil the story within the comment section. Past comments are out of my control and I apologize for anyone who takes a gander at the comments only to be accidentally spoiled. Re-readers, please try to not to spill any of the plot as you excitedly converse.

As an author, writing is a form of escape and this type of escapism to me was very important during my teen years. I wrote DWST when I was a very shy, unconfident, lost teen who needed a way to express herself. That being said, I had the greatest honor of writing an article for Fanfic's The Fan Fair called "How The 5SOS Fandom Taught Me About Girl Power."
