today i went to the doctor to have a check-up. apparently i needed another vitamin shot to strengthen my body. i've always been frail, but i've gotten weaker and sicker ever since we broke up. i was used to taking injections all the time because of my illness, but this was the first time i've gone to the doctor ever since everything fell. as i felt the pinprick of the tiny needle under my skin, i only thought of you — how one small problem, one measly jolt of pain led to our ruination and this lengthy process of finding my cure.
today, i ask myself this; how can i find healing within this hurting? it was a shot through the flesh, and all i could feel was pain pressing its cold hands on the whites of my eyes, blinding me with jumbled-up answers, and just one stood out to me.
only time will tell.
