Emptiness

Feelings of darkness slice through my brain,

I remember how good my life is,

but it is not enough.

I look at the ones I love with a smile on my face,

but the tears start as well.

There is all but emptyness in my heart, only little love.

I feel as if something is missing,

but I can't grasp what it is.

No one knows, no one realizes.

I wear a mask or love and happiness,

but behind the mask is pain, and bitterness
