I am in a rut
So deep I can't get out
It gets my gut
And makes me pout
I set goals
Not hard ones
But anything takes toll
I skip it, not fun.
I get hope
When I manage a breakthrough
Nothing happens, so I grope
For a bit of desire - a cue.
I am stuck - locked in a box
One I can't leave
My feet are bare - no socks
But no interest, so I don't receive
I want this, more than anything
Almost, anyway.
If I could accomplish, I'd sing!
But I'm blocked. I don't have a say.
