Part 23

*Emmet's Pov*

"That's what I said!" My wife says on the phone while laughing loudly in our bedroom as I looked at her with a frown,

"Dinners ready" I say loudly knocking on the open door as she nodded while still talking on the phone not even sparing a glance at her attention needing husband,

"Daddy! Can we eat already?!" I hear our kids shout from downstairs as I groaned before walking downstairs where my loving kids were sitting staring hungrily at the spaghetti I prepared recently,

"Lets say grace" I say with a sigh as they smiled and did the prayers before eating,

"Is mommy still talking to uncle Emmanuel?" Jackelyn asks confusedly while twirling the spaghetti around her fork,

"Yes, she's going for the world record of longest phone call" I say sarcastically as she giggles along with her brother,

"That's all he eats?" Kane Jr. asks as I looked to my side seeing my youngest son still sucking on his milk bottle like the cute baby he is,

"Yes, your brother doesn't have any teeth to eat anything yet" I say kissing Emmet jr. cheek as he smiled showing his dimples,

"Daddy? Why aren't you eating?" Jackelyn asks looking at me as I sighed,

"I'm just waiting for your mother to come down to eat together with her" I replied as she raised a brow,

"She hasn't been eating with us for the past few weeks daddy" she says with a frown as I leaned to the side of the table to rub my daughter's cheek,

"I'll go get her right now okay sweetie" I say with a nod as she nods slowly,

I walked upstairs hearing my wife laughing before stomping toward the room angrily. I walked inside seeing her laying on the bed smiling up at the wall while talking on the phone. I shook my head before grabbing the phone out of her hand as she gasped.

"I said dinners ready" I say glaring at her before taking the phone downstairs before I felt her tug at my arm while we were still on the stairs,

"Hey! I wasn't done talking to him!" She shouted trying to take the phone out of my hand as I moved the phone out of her reach,

"I don't want to sound like a parent Jezzabelle, but when I say dinners ready, I mean come down now" I say sternly looking down at her with a clenched jaw as she gulps nervously before following me to the dinner table,

"Mommy!" Jackelyn shouts happily smiling as her mother smiles and sits across the table from me,

"Mommy your finally going to eat dinner with us?" Kane Jr. asks with confused as I looked at her with a raised brow,

"Yes sweetie" She says with a nervous smile before picking up her fork to eat as I ate my food while looking at her,

"I'm full now, can I have my phone back" She says after a few minutes of silence as I looked at her with a frown noticing she just shoved all her food in her mouth quickly just to go back to talking on her phone,

"Yes but m-" before I finished she grabbed the phone quickly out of my hand rushing upstairs,

"Well that was a great dinner with mom" Kane Jr. says sarcastically before walking to the kitchen with his and his mother's plate to put in the dishwasher,

"Don't be angry daddy" Jackelyn says touching my hand as I just noticed I was gripping my fork tightly,

"She'll get around, maybe she's just going through menopause" She says with a shrugs before standing up and taking our dishes to the dishwasher as I looked at her confusedly,

"How do y-" before I even finished asking my 4 year old daughter how she knew what that word even meant she turned around cutting me off,

"I watch love and hip hop with dede all the time, you should watch it sometimes" she says closing the dishwasher as I shook my head with a chuckle,

"Your to much little girl" I say kissing the top of her head when she walked past me as she giggles,

I walked upstairs as my kids walked into their room with yawns.

"Goodnight my babies" I say walking into their room to tuck them in,

"Do you guys want me to read you a story?" I ask looking at their book case as they shook their head at the same time,

"We're not babies dad" Jackelyn says with a frown as I chuckled,

"As long as your my kids, you'll always be my babies" I replied before tickling them as they laugh,

"Sleep tight okay" I say kissing their foreheads as they smiled up at me before closing their eyes when I turned the night lights on and the room light off,

I walked out of their room with a yawn before walking into my bedroom I share with my wife who was.....putting her shoes on right now?

"Where you going?" I ask confusedly as she puts on her sweater,

"I'm gonna go over to Emmanuels house" she says with a smile before kissing my cheek and walking out of the room as I stood there confused and stunned at the same time,

I heard the front door close as I looked out of our bedroom window to see her backing out of the driveway as I shook my head. This chick is going to drive me insane!
