In Frodo's bedroom, Bilbo visited him. He gave Frodo his old sword, 'Sting'. The sword was made by the Elves. The blade glowed blue when Orcs were close. The last thing that was given to Frodo the Bilbo was a shirt 'Mithril'. Very lightweight but capable of providing extreme strength like armor, it was mined by the Dwarves in the deep mines of Khazad-dûm. The 'small shirt of mail'retrieved from the hoard of the Dragon Smaug, and was given to Bilbo Baggins by Thorin Oakenshield.

Ethir retreated to her room. Having to keep a low profile, for the sake of the Elves. It started annoying her. She never cared about anything or anyone in her life. Yet, those few days she was in Rivendell, she had to be careful, about each step and gaze. Inside the 'bedroom', that had been given to her, were left two things. A backpack, filled with basic things. Clean underwear, a simple shirt, and pants, a few personal 'items' to help her to get through her monthly 'woman problem', etc. And, a dagger, that seemed elegant and carefully crafted. Although, she wasn't sure who would 'gift' her with those. She could tell that the only possible answer was Arwen.

Outside the main area of the Chamber (where the Council was held), Boromir, Gandalf, Gimli and Legolas were talking. The quest they decided to be part of was severe and allowing a female to follow them, even a dark one, seemed not the best choice.

"I don't agree, why we should allow a woman with us. She will be a problem and detain us." Boromir complained to Gandalf.

Gimli, who was glaring at the Elf from time to time, nodded "I agree with Lord Boromir. A woman traveling to Mordor?"

Gandalf gazed at both of them seriously. He found it strange when earlier no one commented about her. It was natural to disbelieve her. "Ethir will come with us. You should be worried more of the hobbits than she." Gandalf responded.

"You're telling me, you agree with this." Boromir couldn't set his mind at ease.

Legolas stepped closer to the Wizard. He usually never doubted the wizard's word. But this time was different. "There is something dark about her. Are you sure Gandalf this is a wise choice?"

Gandalf glanced at everyone and sighted. "She is trained enough to engage in battle. So fear her not. She can take care of herself." he made it plain. He turned towards the Elf and leaned his hand on the elf's right shoulder "Legolas, I know it will be arduous for you. I cannot give you any answers right now. Yet, trust me!"

The elf, the dwarf, and the human retreated to their bed-chambers to get ready. Only Gandalf remained. Aragorn joined him. He had heard a little of the discussion. "Are you sure my friend!?" the Ranger said as he stepped closer to where Gandalf was standing.

"Ah! Aragorn... Yes. However, there is one detail I wanted to share with you." Gandalf said "Ethir, was raised in Isengard by Saruman. She is trained enough to withstand a medium fight, maybe more I am not exactly sure. But she is not a common woman."

Aragorn was confused "Saruman raised her and trained her? With what purpose?"

"Ethir is the last bloodline of Sauron. Her abilities are at a higher level than those of a simple human. Saruman found out years ago. I think he kept her close for a reason." Gandalf added.

"Dark Lord left family behind?" Aragon wasn't only puzzled, he was also concerned "Gandalf could she put us in danger?"

Gandalf lightly laughed "You already are in danger, my friend. We all are. We are aiming to reach Mordor. As for Ethir. She causes some side effects, mostly to the elves. I noted it has to do with her Bloodline."

"Legolas then..." the ranger spoke.

But the gray wizard cut him off "Legolas, will be in trouble. I hope she will remain as far away as she can. I am not sure if she would have any value for Sauron. But it would be wiser to keep her hidden and away from Sauron's forces. That's why keep her secret and safe."

Aragorn agreed "In that case, the secret is safe with me. And the others?"

"They will eventually figure it out. But for now, let's not tell them. They already complain about her being a woman. If they knew the rest it would only cause more problems."

The next morning outside the gate of Rivendell. The Fellowship gathered to bid farewell. Elrond gave them his blessings for a safe journey. Legolas and Aragorn bowed their heads, hands upon hearts. Arwen's face was sorrowful gazing at Aragorn. Aragorn smiled faintly and nodded a farewell. Ethir glanced towards Arwen lightly waving goodbye. Frodo looked a bit lost as he asked Gandalf which way to turn.

The Fellowship departed. Planning to climb the long steep path out of the cloven vale of Rivendell. Their journey started...
