That I could just talk to you

If only you noticed
How much I loved you
If only it could be
Just us two
I wish I could explain
What was going on at the time
But my sorrows took over
Ending up with you no longer as mine
I was stupid and selfish
I should have fought
But I let it happen
What all the fights bought
I made such a big mistake
If only you'd pay attention
My heart captured by you
Forever in detention
If only I could explain
Without your hate
How sorry I truly am
But it's too late

I made the mistake of not being myself while I was in a relationship because of bad circumstances and I realized how badly I f*cked up but at that time it was too late. Don't ever change who you really are, somewhere along the way, somebody would accept you for being you.
