"Hi mommy! "
I use to greet her in the morning
"Morning sweety! "
She was an angel with one wing
She has been hurt
Ever since daddy left
With her heart
He has committed theft
And yet, he still went away
I was only six at the time
After he left, mommy was sad
She turned to drugs and wine
Some people came to take me away
To a new family with a big brother
But I missed mommy very much
"I wanna be there for my mother! "
My new mommy hit me
And my new daddy use to laugh
My new big brother
Only cared for his behalf
One night daddy came home drunk
He and mommy had a fight
Big brother took me to his room
And held me tight
He didn't let go
No matter how hard daddy beat him
He only whispered to me
"We will no longer live with them."
I shut my eyes
And when I was awake
Big brother was there
He had a bad headache
"Pack your bags quietly. "
He whispered to me that night
I went to my room and did as I was told
And switched off the light
Daddy was already asleep
So we snuck out
Big brother cared
I had no doubt
I grew up with him
We lived with our grandmother
She was kind and didn't hit me
I love my big brother
