(Drabble is a piece of fiction of exactly 100 words. Legend has it that the SF Society at Birmingham University began the ball rolling in the 1980's, the original idea coming from the Monty Python 'Big Red Book', where it appears as a word game.
The idea is to test the writer by making them use only 100 words to communicate a plot point or intriguing idea, really anything as long as it does it in the required amount of words.)
