Frost and Flowers

Fingertips,
Frigid glass,
Feeling numb,
Can't pull away.

Dazzling,
Let it in,
Open up,
Won't feel the burn.

Howling wind,
Racing heart,
Swirling white,
Hypnotized.

Step inside,
Swept within,
No one here
Closing in.

Can't look back,
Shivering,
Burning lungs,
Turning blue.

Reaching out,
No one here,
Crystallize,
Across my skin.

Falling down,
Tumbling,
Puffs of white,
Bursts of green.

Swirling white,
Feathery,
Flowers blown,
Fulfill your wish.

Breathing in,
Sweet dew,
Summer's grove,
Rest within.

Finally,
Close your eyes,
Peaceful sleep.
For us to lay.

From winter's cold,
Comes summer's heat.

Must first endure,
The painful white,
To make it to,
The gentle light.
