Chapter 4

"Tag your it" I said to Jordan searching for places to hide so nobody could find me.

After Derek and Jordan came to get me and Tina, we went outside and thought that we should play tag.

Yea it was childish. But it gave us something to do and kept us entertained. We all enjoyed hanging out with each other so it didn't matter what we did.

I was frantically searching for a hiding spot so nobody would find me, but gasped when I felt hands on my waist from behind.

"Got ya'!" The unknown person whispered. After carefully listened to the person I realized it was Jordan. I now was blushing like crazy because I felt his hands was still on my waist.

I turned around and smiled at him. He began staring and smiling up at me too. I then saw he was slowly leaning in and I was wondering if he was actually about to kiss me.

"Levine! Your it now!" Derek yelled. Me and Jordan immediately pulled away and stared at each other awkwardly.

While I was looking for someone to tag, the madder I was at Derek. If it wasn't for him, I could actually got my first kiss.

Yea, I know 'your 16 and still didn't get your first kiss!' But I always wanted my first kiss to be special. Not a stupid, meaningless one. And I was just about to get it if i wasn't for Derek.

Stupid Derek.

"Guys I gotta go home. My mom just called saying that I have to do some chores." He groaned while sliding his phone back in his pocket.

"Bye Jordan." He said while slapping hands with him. "Alright bye Derek."

"Wait what time is it?" Tina asked.

Derek looked at his phone. "About 5." He said before walking back home. "Oh shoot! Dang I gotta get going. My mom said she's taking me to the mall at 5. I'll see you later." She said while gathering her house keys.

"Bye Tina!" Me and Jordan yelled out to her. She simply just waved and headed back home.

Now it was just me and Jordan left. I hope it doesn't become awkward between us.

"Hey you wanna head over to my house?"

"I would like that." I smiled at him. He murmured a quick c'mon and grabbed my hand and intertwined them.

I immediately blushed and let him lead the way. He's actually holding my hand, I thought. No guy has ever held my hand. And it felt perfect like it was meant to be.

We went inside and I was really impressed. His house was beautiful on the inside. So much different and exotic from my house.

"Jordan? Is that you?" I hear a woman I suppose is his mother talking. We go into his kitchen and see her washing the dishes.

"Oh hey mom, this is Levine." Jordan told his mom while she was cleaning her hands on a towel. "Hi Mrs. Winters!" I said smiling. I wanted to give a good first impression.

"Oh hi hunny! Jordan is this your new girlfriend" She asked smiling. Immediately Jordan became awkward at her words. "U-uh no mom she's just a friend." He stammered.

"Oops! Sorry! I had no idea!" She stated clearly embarrassed.

" No its okay I don't mind." I told her reassuringly.

"Great! Hey you look awfully familiar. What's your mother's name?" She asked studying me as if I was a test.

"Oh, Emily Hobbs." I said with a smile. It was like something clicked in her because she began to smile brightly.
