Tom P.O.V.

After searching for hours for clues on the girls and their whereabouts, Inx dropped me off at my house. He gave me a sympathetic look.

“Listen, man, I’m sorry we couldn’t find them today. But, I swear we will. I’m just glad you believe me,” Inx said before I got out of the car.

“The greatest mysteries in the world were not all solved in one day,” I stated to him. He nodded at me in understandment.

“Don’t worry though, Tom, we will find them.” He told me, but now I was think that he was more or less trying to convince himself than me.

“I know … In fact, I plan on early tomorrow morning going over to Troy’s and making him see that they were in fact taken,” I stated with a fake grin. Inx smiled back at me.

“Do you need a ride there?” He asked. I shook my head.

“No, I have a car,” I told him.

“You left it at Troy’s.”

“Oh yeah ... I did, do I… well … alright then, pick me up at eight.” I told him.

“Eight? More like six! We need to find them! Aren’t you worried what could have happened to them?” Inx asked.

“I am man, like you wouldn’t believe! I’m barely able to sleep, but my adrenaline is maxed ...  There must be something they want … so they’ll come up somewhere ... I’m not going to stop, but I know my limits, and we can’t have the guys out of action too.” I stated begrudgingly. “But I’ll do some research while I’m home, alright?”

Inx sighed. “Yeah, okay, sorry man, I am just a little on edge.”

“You’re not the only one. Hell, its three o’clock in the morning. I know we’re both tired,” I said as I got out of the car. Inx said goodbye and drove off.

I sighed, thinking of how hard it was to persuade Inx and how I hated saying that, even though I was tired. But I’m surprised that he was so worried over the girls he left. I mean, come on, he just got back in town! I hate when people act like things are their business, when it’s clearly not. Especially because of how he left.

I unlocked the front door, and was faced with a quiet, dark house. I looked upstairs at where my room was before passing them up to get to the kitchen. I poured a glass of ice water and then made my way up the stairs. I stopped by the bathroom on the way to get the aspirin out of the medicine cabinet.

Slowly, I walked toward my room and stopped right in front of it. I knew what was waiting. I didn’t quite know how this was going to go. I tried to think of what would happen, but I shook my head. No use in putting it off. Just go with the flow. I slowly unlocked the door, hoping it wouldn’t be noticed. I opened my door and peeked in. Sure enough, my best suspicion was right.

Hope was sitting up, one hand holding her head. “Shit.” She muttered in a hushed tone. I went further in, but not before closing and locking the door. Her eyes flickered to me. “You! What the hell!?” She shouted at me before flinching in pain and grabbing her head. I held out my hands with the water and aspirin, hoping she wouldn’t slap it out of my hands, and hoping she would listen to me.

“Is that more drugs?! Because I have a feeling you drugged me.” I sighed and sat the water and pills beside the bed.

“I didn’t know how you would listen to me.” Crap. I didn’t answer her question...

“Ha-ha and you think I will now?” She questioned.

My shoulders drooped. Of course at the time, it seemed the only way, but as I stood here now, I realized it was going to make things worse. She may never listen to me now ... I inhaled slowly, aware of the sadness pulling at my chest, but I pushed it down.
Suddenly I could smell her strawberry shampoo from where I was standing. I smiled thinking of how I loved that scent. Ever since I met her she used that same shampoo, and it’s enticed me. Her bright green eyes looked at me with confusion. I wanted so much to pull her close and tell her everything would be okay. Then I remembered with a start that I was the cause and my heart sank a little.

“Why are you looking at me like I’m a piece of meat?” She hissed at me.

“I was just lost for a minute, sorry...” I admitted. She furrowed her eyebrows, her lips looking especially pouty. I ached to place a gentle kiss on them. To tell her I was sorry.
No. Stay strong Tom.

“I had to talk to you,” I admitted not so proudly. “I didn’t think you’d ever let me see you again and I-”

“Was selfish enough to drug me and drag me to your bedroom to have your way with me?! Fuck off!” She said the last part especially harshly. It felt like a fist in my gut.

“NO! I would never take advantage of you! That was the last thing on my mind! Just listen-”

“You can’t make me,” she stated very plainly, cutting me off again.

“I don’t want to make you ... I’ve done enough already ...” Apparently I said it with guilt, and she caught it.

She sat up straighter. “Well, that’s obvious,” she breathed with anger laced in her voice. I sighed and put my hands to my forehead. I think it was me, but she seemed to soften ever so slightly. I thought for a second, trying to let the right words come to me. I didn’t want to say something wrong. I’ve made that mistake already.
Hope moved a little over on the bed so her legs were on the side. She got off and looked at me. I felt her piercing green eyes burn into me.  “I’m going to go now,” She muttered before walking to my bedroom door. I heard her try the doorknob to no avail.
I sighed, very audibly. “Please ... until we talk, please stay here...” I pleaded.

“Is that a request or are you telling me that’s my only option?”

I looked down. I knew she was right. I was telling her what to do. “I want to let you go, no question about it, but Hope, you have no idea how badly my insides are hurting knowing you don’t want to be with me ... It’s like a weight you can’t imagine pressing down on my heart until it’s heavy in my gut.”

She looked at me with some compassion and was that a hint of guilt? Her image blurred as I began to form tears.

“Please ... Please hear me out Hope ... I love you ... and all I want right now is for you to hear me out ... I want to have you my side ... If you let me talk to you, explain it all, and you still want nothing to do with me, I’ll let you leave. I’ll give you the key, and you can walk out and never see my face again.”

“Okay... “She replied almost reluctantly. “I’ll listen... but if I want to leave, you swear you’ll hand over the key?”

I wiped my eyes. “Scout’s honor.”

Soooooo ... what do you think???

Kyeire:

Kyeire:

Yo Monkey:

Yo Monkey:

KittyKat:
What are you talking about? I was standing here this whole time. *sticks out tongue*

Yo Monkey:
I would notice beauty, and you my beautiful haven’t been in the room.

KittyKat:
Then I think you need glasses, I was right here when Hope woke up. You came later, didn’t see me and then interrogated Kyeire. I saw it all.

Hope:
I saw her, just chose not to say anything .. Hey kitty-kitty *tries to pet KittyKat affectionately*

KittyKat:
*hiss* I no like pets. They make me feel inferior.

Yo Monkey:
Yo momma

TheRuverRinsDeep:
First off, Hope stop crying, she didn’t mean to snap at you. How dare you hurt her feelings, KittyKat? She did nothing wrong, that was mean of you. Secondly, Yo Monkey, stop with the ‘Yo Momma’ jokes … I can only do that!!!

KittyKat:
*folds arms* I don’t like people petting me. It’s not my fault.

TheRuverRinsDeep:
In a way, it’s YO MOMMA’s fault for naming you KittyKat, and you're a cat. People are going to treat you like Cat. And Hope likes petting cats!

Hope:
They are so cute!!!

Yo Monkey:
No one ever scratched my ass.

KittyKat:
 And no one wants to!

Kyeire:
Now now Kitty, enough. Oh! Yeah, TRRD, do you think it would be a good idea....my idea from about a week ago? Remember?

TheRuverRinsDeep:
About making a book about Yo Monkey and KittyKat and their conversations?

Kyeire:
Yeah ... maybe the fans would like that. Do you think so?

TheRuverRinsDeep:
I don’t know *Turns to the readers* …........... Would you like to read a book starring Yo Monkey and KittyKat? …It might be funny, or a train wreck waiting to happen …
