Life and Death

Just when you thought,

The world was safe.

Here comes death,

And takes a life away.

But what is truly frightening,

Is when he takes a soul you know.

A person you love,

Or a person you loathe.

By water or by fire,

By accident or in peace,

People will keep disappearing,

Death has no plans to cease.

So before he takes another,

Before he makes an entrance,

Stay close to each other,

Or else you'll lose a chance.

Love the people you love,

Make peace with the people you hate.

Because life comes only once,

And death will never wait.

I may have not known you for a long time but, I've known you long enough to say that you will be missed. I'm glad to have been a part of your life even if it was just for a little while.
