I am in desperate need.
A friend for me to keep.
Who will help me to seek
The beauty of life that lies beneath.
Who will lay beside me
Whenever I fell asleep.
Who’ll be there in just a phone beep
Like Flash from Justice League.
I need a friend to help me grow.
The things that I’m scared to show.
Who will not make me feel so low.
And that never insults me in front of people.
Who holds my hand if I fall.
Imparts knowledge in which I may not know.
Who is patient enough to hear my call.
I need a friend who never leaves me alone.
I am in need of a friend.
God please, I beg you to send
Just one before my life will end.
Who’ll walk with me hand in hand
And can make my broken heart mend.
A friend whom I can trust and depend.
Who’ll not betray me and be a fiend
But rather loves me with no expense.
