Twenty One

Ang pag-ibig parang droga. Nakakadik, nakakasira. Kaya hanggat kaya mong kumalas, gawin mo na. Parang ang meron kami. Naisip kong putulin na dahil alam kong nalulunod na ako at kailangan kong isalba ang sarili ko dahil ako lang din naman ang masasaktan dito.

Ilang beses nag attempt si Brix na kausapin ako at ayusin ito pero umiwas ako. Dahil alam ko sa sarili ko na bibigay ako. At ayaw kong mangyari 'yon dahil natatakot ako.

"Class. I want you go here infront of and pick a movie. Then try to relate yourself. I want all of you to know everyone better" nakangiting ani ni Miss La Desma. Values class namin at may mga ganitong kakornihan.

Naunang tumayo si Charm at nag present sa unahan.

"Up" she smile "nagulat kayo? Cartoon yeah. But it makes sense" girls agree while boys grunted. Napailing na lang ako. Boys went grumpy when it comes to cheesy things. "Well, i relate myself to this movie because i see myself in Ellie, the heroine. And Prince to her husband." She smile "i know, no matter how tragic life can be, we'll have each other's back as we hold hand 'til we conquer it and celebrate our triumphs"

Nagpalakpakan kami sa sinabi ni Charm. She's a hopeless romantic e.

"Who wants to go next?" Miss La Desma says.

Lance volounteer. Hindi pa man sya nagsasalita ay malakas na tawanan na ang pumainlang sa room. For sure he will just say stupid things or naughty.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" he stated. Ganoon na lang ang tawa namin.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Miss La Desma.

"And how can you relate yourself to that movie?" Miss La Desma ask.

"Well, kay Christian Grey ko nakuha ang moves ko sa kama!"

"Umupo ka na Mr. De Vera. Sasamaan ako ng lasa sayo" eksaheradang sabi nito na tinawanan namin. Umupo si Lance sa upuan.

"Miss Del Valle?" Miss La Desma call me.

"Po?" I ask innocently. Ngumiti sya sakin "share your thoughts to us" she motion me in front. Tumango ako at nagpunta sa una. Iniikot ko ang cap ko patalikod gaya ng lagi kong ginagawa.

"Starting Over Again?" I said unsurely. Ang atensyon ng lahat ay nasa akin. I shiver when i met Brix's gaze. He's looking intently at me. Expressionless is what plastered in his face. But none-the-less it has the same effect.

"Kasi hindi sila nagkatuluyan." I shrug. "It shows reality. Love can be constant. You love him now? It will fades someday. Makakahanap ka ng iba, malilimutan mo sya. Ganoon" lahat ay napasinghap sa naging komento ko. "I love to read novels. But i know how to separate fiction from reality." I sit at the table.

They seems so interested on what im talking about. So, i'll give their ears soe lesson. I'll open their eyes to reality.

"Books and movies is not an item of entertainment. It's a place of escape. The place where we go to escape the sad reality. The reality where love is a game where the one who cheats wins." Tumayo ako "i hope i open your mind guys." I get back to where i seat.

"Mr. Collins?"

Brix go to the front.

"I may sound cliche. But i pick One More Chance" he chuckle. I look at him just to see him looking at me. My heart race at it's fastest. Brix, why you still affects me when you're not suppose to be?

"The Bea and John Lloyd Movie?" Miss La Desma chuckle.

"Yup" he smile "it shows, second chances. New begginings. Forgiving. Loving again. Because no matter how love wounded you fataly, leave you with nasty scars. You'll still come back for it. Because not believing in love is like losing the air you breath. You cant just live for yourself"

"And to have a second chance will give you justice?" Ngumisi ako. I caught everyone's attention as i said those. "Hindi ginawa ang second chance para sirain ang first chance"

"I agree" ngumisi sya "hindi rin ito ginawa para sa makikitid ang utak na tao! Just because i scratch your pride you run away?" Singhal nya sakin na hindi ko inaasahan. His eyes speaks anger. "You never let me explain! Tapos aarte ka ngayon? Papamukaan mo ko? Well surprise! You ruin this relationship! You should thank me for feeding up your ego, because this time.. ikaw naman ang nakasakit!"

I was stunned at what he say. My tears stream down from my face. His expression softens at what he see. Akmang lalapit sya sakin pero pinigilan ko sya.

"Guys, take it easy, ano ba?" Boses iyon ni Charm.

I fetch my thing and run out.
