Chapter 9

* Alexandra's P.O.V *

" Emmett , can you come zip me up ? " I asked .

He smirked and zipped up the back of my hunter green dress with the deep v and the high slit .

" You look sexy . " he said .

" Thanks . " I said , straighteing his collar .

He smiled and we walked out and Damon was waiting . He glared at Emmett and smiled at me .
" You look stunning , princess . " he said .

" Thanks . " I said , kissing him.

He smirked and dipped me low right in front of Emmett . I cleared my throat .
" Let's go , shall we ? " I asked , taking one on each arm .

We walked out and got in the Corvette and drove to the Mikaelson mansion . Damon got the door for me and we waked into the foyer . Elijah , Kol and Rebekah walked downstairs and Rebekah pulled me into a hug . I knew Finn was dead and a piece of my heart ached faintly for him .

" Emmett ? Emmett Petrova ? " Elijah hissed .

" Hello my ALMOST brother in law . " he asked smirking .

I rolled my eyes and cleared my throat .

" Behave . " I snapped to both of them.

" Leave it to my charming sister to bring TWO dates . " Kol said , chuckling.
" Actually Damon is my date. Emmett is here as a friend and they're BOTH here in case this is a trap . " I said .

" Alexandra ! Can't you just believe us ? " Rebekah asked , hurt .

" Last time I did that I died . Litterally . But I don't want to lose my temper tonight . You have one night to convince me . One night to remind me what family is . " I said .

Damon grabbed my hand and kissed it . I smiled crookedly and then we walked into the dinning room . Damon pulled out a chair for me and so there I sat ...between my past and my present .

" So , Alex , what have you been up to the past millenium ? " Kol asked .

" Broadway , musical compostitions, modeling , acting , writting novels , becomeing a historian , traveling and basically just living . I haven't had a choice . I got bored . " I said .

" Oh ,that's all . " Rebekah said sarcastically .

" I always knew my twin sister was talented . " he said, stroking my cheek .
" So ... Elijah . Do you still hate me ? " Emmett asked .
" For stealing the heart of my sister .... ? Yes . But I guess now I'll have to start hating Mr.Salvatore too . " Elijah said , glaring to either side of me .
" Oh , come now . Surely thier is enough hatred to go around . I don't like them either . " Kol said , chuckling .
" Please ! Alex deserves to be happy ! Besides , two are better then one ! " Rebekah said , giggling.

I can't believe she just said that ! My eyes got wide .

" Emmett is just a friend ! A FRIEND ! F-R-I-E-N-D ! " I said , annoyed ,

" Careful Rebekah , our little gladiator is losing her temper . " Kol said .
Elijah and I rolled our eyes and crossed our arms and shook our heads at the same time .

" That was wierd . " Damon commented .
" What ? " Elijah and I both asked.

We turned to eachother.
" Stop ! " we said .
" That's annoying .! " we reapeted .

I rolled my eyes a second time and took a sip of my wine . After dinner , we sat around and talked.

" So , you said you can play piano ? " Elijah questioned.

" Yes . " I said .
"Play something for me . " he said .

I walked over to the grand piano followed by my siblings and Damon and Emmett as I sat down . I took a deep breath. It'd been at least 200 years since I'd played last and I lest my hands slide over the keys , playing " Because of you " , singing along . I didn't bring my eyes off the keys , but once to look up at my family , who's jaw dropped . Everyone's did . A tear fell onto the keys as I ran my fingers over them gracefully . I finished playing and I got up . Everyone was just speechless and then Klaus walked around the corner , tears in his eyes .
" Alexandra . I'm so so sorry ! " he whimpered .

I held firm and then he walked over and got down on his knees , grabbing onto my skirt like a child . He was crying and I bent down and pulled him into a hug.

" Shhh ... it' alright , Nik . " I said , holding him right there on the floor .
