Lucas
She quietly walked away. I hope she comes back tomorrow, but I won’t be surprised if she doesn’t. I wanted to make her laugh, mostly because I wanted to see her smile. It was unclear to me if we were friends or not… I hoped we were.
I untied the rope from the dock, and the lake rippled. I hopped on my boat and steered it out further into the lake. The wind whistled as it blew through my hair, the sails rapidly moved as the front of the boat thrust through the water. I loved this feeling. I closed my eyes and let the wind take over me. Sailing made me feel like a person again.
