THE COURT OF TU

A confederacy of warlords who pay tribute to the Son of Heaven, the High King of the Tu clan. Known to the tribes of the riverlands as the “Dragon Court.” Each warlord’s domain is as a kingdom unto itself.

1.  State of Zhae

A powerful, cultured state to the north of what was formerly Khonua. Called “Tai” by the people of the riverlands. All that lies between present-day Awat and Zhae is a great wall winding through the mountain range on their borders.

2.  State of Rha

A modest state of scholars and philosophers that lies immediately northwest of Awat and in the shadow of the bordering State of Zhae.

Phas Tiuknin: a mercenary who fled from Rha for unknown reasons; briefly served the Kingdom of Khonua

3.  State of Enh

The northernmost state of the Court. Not only is the state under constant threat from nomadic barbarians beyond the border, it also possesses uneasy relations with bordering Zhae to the south and the central Court domains to its west.

Jenhra and Nalum: see entry under Kingdom of Awat
Braksya: a rather eccentric traveling apothecary
