The One That Got Away

It Was Like Deja Vu (Aria’s POV)

This was it, this is the day I have been waiting for. I finally get to see my love. Well actually he isn’t my love but he will be. I walked over to my vanity and sat down and stared at the pictures of Diggy and I together. One and particular made me smile. It was Diggy and I sitting my the pool at his house in New Jersey. It was where we shared our first kiss

“Dig where are you” I yelled as a ran behind the tree looking for him. “Come out come out where ever you are don’t be a scared I don’t bite.” I teased. Just as the words escpaed my mouth I felt strong cold hands wrap around my waist. It was Diggy. I didn’t even have to turn around. I could always sense his presence. A feeling of security always fell upon me when he was near. I laid my head as he whispered in my ear. “Come sit with me by the pool I have some snacks!” He replied teasing with with his knowledge of my love for food I followed him to the pool holding hands. I walked behind him admiring his amazing body. He had the cutest set up laid out of soda and chicken wings for him and sweet tea and bacon ranch fries for me. “Ooo you chose some of my favorites, how thoughtful” I said brushing my bang out of my face ” Yeah you better enjoy this sweet tea, they don’t make tea sweet up here.” he replied while taking a sip of his soda “Ugh I know. How can you guys drink unsweet tea? Its disgusting!” I said making a hideous face that made him laugh “How can you guys drink tea that sweet?” he shot back at me “Everything is sweet when your dealing with South Carolina Southern Belle.” I replied sweetly with a smile “So everything is sweet aye” he replied with a devilish grin on his face ” Yes everything!” i said “What about their lips?” he asked while bitting his “Why don’t you come find out.” I said as I leaned in for a kiss

When our lips touched it was magical. Fireworks went off inside my heart and it felt amazing. We pulled apart and touched each others foreheads and locked eyes. Our eye contact was almost as powerful as the kiss. It was like we were looking past each other and looking straight into our souls. We made a connection much deeper than I ever imagined possible. That was something I would never forget.

“Awwwwwww” i heard 3 voices say

Diggy and I turned around to see Mrs. Simmons, Angela, and Vanessa standing at the door. Mrs. Simmons had a camera so I guess she was taking pictures

“Omg go away!” Diggy yelled “this is embarrassing!” “Im sorry Dan I just wanted some pictures of you and your girlfriend but Im leaving now. Don’t you go start acting fresh now, remember she is a young lady! The same goes for you Aria” She said “Yes ma’am” I replied with a sweet innocent smile

Diggy and I laughed it off and continued with our date.

“Aria, Alex is here” I heard my mom yell

I jumped up and leaving my memories behind and yelled for my mom to come send Alex up. Alex ran up the stairs carrying a duffle bag and a dress under some plastic. I gave her a tight hug. Alex has been my friend since 3rd grade and has been there with me through all this Diggy drama.

“How do you like this dress” Alex asked pulling a white mini strapless dress with the sides cut out “Damn girl!” I replied “That dress is gonna get you in trouble!” “What are you wearing” Alex asked while taking a seat on my bed

I went to my closet and pulled out a black tight long sleeved mini dress with a fur vest over it.

“This” i replied holding up the outfit for her to see “And you say my outfit is gonna get me in touble. If im getting in trouble then your getting arrested cause i already know how that dress is gonna fit around your big butt!’ she said laughing and falling back on my bed “oh shut up” I said while I threw a pillow at her head

Alex and I hurried and got ready to leave. It was 9:47 so we would get there around 10 o’clock. Alex and I walked up to the front of the line. We heard the hating girls suck their teeth and complain about us cutting the line, but when you look as good as we do you don’t wait in line. We flashed a smile at the bouncer as he let us in.

“oh now I see why you wanted to come here so bad, Diggy is suppose to be here.” she said while rolling her eyes “Look I just wanted to see him again okay. You know im not over him Alex.” I said pleading for her not to leave. “I know I know but I see a cutie over there I want to get to know so ill talk to you later alright!” she said as she make her way across the room to a guy leaning against the wall. I turned around to go up to VIP like I usually do but all of the sudden my heart started beating faster. This only happens when Diggy is near. I turned around and I locked eyes with Diggy. Its only been 9 months but boy does he look different. I saw him looking me up and down and I knew he liked what he saw. I stepped closer to Diggy giving him a hug. He wrapped his arm around me and I felt that same feeling of security that I always got when he was around. “Wow Digg you look amazing” I said smiling at him while slightly biting my lip. I knew that drove him wild. “So do you I mean man you’re bad af!” He said taking my hand spinning me around so he could get a full look. “Where are you headed” I asked him “up to VIP” he replied “oh so am I” I said reaching for his hand. I grabbed it and led him up to VIP. I placed his hand on the dip of my back right before you reach my butt. I wanted him to watch me walk.

We got up to VIP and sat on the couch and caught up with each other. It was just like old times. Me sitting on his lap talking and laughing. Every thing was so familiar, it was like Deja Vu.
