BLADE
She used to cut herself
to gain sympathy
Thought her problems
were more serious than
it seemed to be
Tried standing up
in front of her “enemies”
but whenever she did
she just lost her
ability
Now and again
she’d tell the ones close to her
and they’d shrug it off
like an itch or a toaster burn
When it hurt so much
all the pain inside of her
no one gave her the help
they should’ve provided
her
Not a bad person she was
academics high
but she felt all the others
had something she couldn’t
buy
At least now
she has a new outlook
on that complicated thing called Life
so now she can safely
put away the knife
