Heretics and erratics,
Admonished by the kings,
Inquisited by the 'revered' papacy,
Haunted by the knight,
A tale is told of a night;
Thirteenth century A.D,
The swords shoved on them,
Smothered and deluded,
Compeer's,they gave their back,
For they ascribed or subscribed,
To the infamous truth,
Attested in memoirs,
Asserted in chronicles,
But abhorred by a thousandfold,
And so it unfolded;
The 'Great Inquisitory'.
