Ch 10

Kayla's POV

Today is Zak and I's date and I'm really excited

But I need to talk to Hayes about what he said last night. So I decided to see if he was awake

*knock knock*

*knock knock*

"Huh" I hear him groan

"Hayes it's Kayla" I said

"Oh uh um come in" he said

"Hi" I said opening the door

He wasn't wearing a shirt....he has abs...Lord give me strength

"Ok anyway last night when you came into my room I wasn't asleep and I heard what you said" I said hastily

"Oh" was all he said

"Ok Hayes well I'm sorry I just had to get that off my chest" I said

"It's ok" he said

"Well I'm gonna go get ready" I said

"For what" he said "it's early"

"Oh I have a date with Zak at 11 am" I said awkwardly

"Oh" was all he managed to get out before he ran into the bathroom crying

I sighed and left the room to get ready

5 minutes after I finished the doorbell rang and there was Zak

We went on out date, he had planned a picnic in the park and then to go get a smoothie and that's what we did

We had a great time at the park and when we went to get smoothies I saw something I wish I hadn't

I saw Hayes kissing Alexa.....again

I turned around and walked out with Zak behind me

Hayes ran out

"Kayla" he cried

"Save it Hayes stop telling me you love me, cause obviously you don't" I said

Zak room my hand and walked me to a bench at the front of our neighborhood

"Listen Kayla I really like you a lot and I would love to be with you but you obviously have feelings for Hayes.." he said choking on his words

"A-and I want you do be with someone you love and I think that person is Hayes" he said now crying

All I could do was hug him and tell him thank you and that I still wanted to be friends

He walked me back to my door and we said our goodbyes and I walked inside up to my room and fell asleep.

*next morning*

Hayes POV

I jumped out of be when I heard Nash yelling my name.

"Whaaaaaat" I groaned walking down the stairs

"Someone's at the door" he said

I walked over to the door

"Zak?" I asked

"Ya" he said sternly

"Listed Hayes, I can tell Kayla really likes you, we're not dating so make your move before someone else does..your lucky to have her. Don't screw this up!" he yelled and walked away

I was shocked...Kayla likes me after all I've done

Kayla's POV

I opened my eyes to see the sun shining through my window, I checked my phone, only 9am.

I threw my hair in a messy bun and walked downstairs to see my mom making breakfast. I hopped on the couch and checked my phone

1 new text from Hayes

H- Hey Kayla I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today?

I responded

K- Ya sure what time?

He replied instantly

H- in about an hour, we can have a lazy day

K- ok see you then

2 hours later

Hayes still hasn't showed up..he's the one that wanted to hang out

I decided to text him

K- um so are you coming?

I waited 30 minutes...no reply

So I texted Nash

K- hey Nash is Hayes there?

N- Ya he's here

K- Can I come over really quickly

N- Ya sure the doors unlocked just come on in

K- ok thanks

I grabbed my phone and yelled to my mom I was leaving and walked out the door

I walked to there house and right before I opened the door I heard laughing.. A girl laughing

I looked in the window to see Alexa...wow second time in a month

I felt my stomach twist and my head began to spin and before I knew it everything went black

Hayes POV

I was getting ready to hang with Kayla and I had the movies and popcorn ready and the door bell rang I ran to answer it thinking it was Kayla but it was Alexa

"I need to talk to you" she said

"Kay but only for a minute cause i have to go get Kayla" I said

"Ew why her?" she said

"Cause she's my friend" I said annoyed

"Ok Hayes well I'm going to get straight to the point, I want you." she said like it was no big deal

"Sorry but I don't like you that was anymore" I said

"Well Hayes I think it should be me you date but if that's how you feel if lime to be friends...for now" she said with a smirk

We started talking and I completely lost track of time. We were laughing and joking around when I heard a big thud on the porch.

I ran out the door to see Kayla lying there unconscious

"KAYLA!" I yelled

Alexa came to the door and saw her and walked away

"NASH!" I screamed

"WHAT?" He yelled

"ITS KAYLA COME HERE" I yelled

He ran down the stairs and called an ambulance he rode with her and I called Mrs. Scott

Then I called my mom to tell her what happened and she came and took me and Mrs. Scott to the hospital.

We ran in and went straight to the front desk

"Kayla Scott?" Mrs. Scott said

"Hmmm Kayla Scott, Kayla Scott, ah here she is Kayla Scott, I'm sorry but you can't see her right now" she said

"Why I'm her mother" he mom said

"I'm sorry Mrs.Scott but Kayla hit her head really hard and she's knocked out right now, there doing test on her at the moment, I will tell you when she is able to have visitors" she said with a half smile

We walked over to the waiting room to see Nash sitting there already. We all sat there and waited and waited and waited.
