Remembrance Day is a loving holiday. We take this holiday very seriously, but it doesn’t mean you can’t be happy. It is sad that all the men and women died in the war. However, without their help, we wouldn’t have any freedom. Most people might think that Remembrance Day is just a holiday where you get to wear an artificial poppy and donate money. It is true that you do those things, but there are other reasons why we celebrate Remembrance Day. For example, it is the day which we honour the people who made sacrifices in the army. Also, if you were in the soldiers’ shoes, you would know how much the soldiers loved and showed compassion for their country. We should be thankful that we didn’t have to fight and others were willing to die for us.
