Why are violets blue
and why are roses red
Why do they say
He Lives
when,clearly, he is dead
Why is Greenland icy
and why is Iceland green
I guess it's best
to ignore my questions
not everything is how it seems
Why does water run
and why do chairs have legs
Why does life imply that one
can move without appendages
Why are some so cold
when the blood in them is warm
Why do cows and horses
lie down before a storm
lordy, lord in heaven
I only have one wish
if you would be so kind
