Chapter 20

After an hour and a half, we reach a two story house with a large front and back yard. To top it off, its facing the sea. Its beautiful.

We get off the car and i look at the beautiful scenery. I close my eyes as i felt the air, blowing my hair away from my face. You can hear the sound of the waves and the soft chirping of the seagulls, this is just so relaxing.

"Wow, dad! this is so awesome!" Frio cheered, i open my eyes as i look at the two holding each others hand as Frio jump in excitement "can we swim?!"

"Sure, sure when it gets warm"

"Okay dad, i hope it gets warm today!"

Jun just laugh at him, when we are riding the car i told Frio that he'll meet his grandmother and grandfather. He is totally excited, he never did saw my parents because they disown me, so i understand how excited he is. And i actually appreciate Juns effort, atleast he'll have grandparents.

"Ready mao?" He asked breaking my trance

"Ah-h su-sure?" My heart suddenly beats faster, making my breathing unstable

"Mao?" Its not like we are in a relationship and this is 'meet-the-parents' thing

"Are you okay?"

I am just the mother of his son.

Stop.

I held my chest.

Stop.

I closed my eyes.

Stop thinking.

I breath deep.

You'll get hurt.

My eyes snap open, when i felt someone hugging me. Its warm.

"Mao, its okay." Jun whispered in my ears "i am here"

Then someone hug our thighs "i am here too, mom"

I smiled at them and giggle. I hug them both. "Thank you" It felt nice.

We all let go, i can feel my face heating up "ready?" Jun asked sweetly

I just nod at him, he hold my hand. I just look at it, i cant make myself let go of his hands.

Then Frio hold my right hand.

We could be this, a real family. If only we can change the past.

We walk up the lawn and towards the door.

He lets go of my hand and press the door bell. And then i realized that its cold not having him around.

We heard footsteps coming our way and after a couple of seconds the door opens widely reaveling a beautiful woman. She looks like Jun especially the nose and the shape of the face but her hair is straight

"Jun! Youre here!" She said looking at him then to us "is this Frio?" She smiled at Frio and pinch his cheek "i am your grandma"

Frio just smiled shyly as he hides behind my legs "and you must be Mao" she sweetly smile

Then she surprised me by hugging me tightly. Once she lets go, he look at Jun and slap him on his shoulders "she is really beautiful and you left her!"

"Ouch, mom!" Frio and i just laugh at him

"Aish this kids really ungrateful!" She glared at him for a sec and she look at us sweetly "come in sweety" me and Frio walk inside, followed by Juns mom and Jun. Its better than i thought it would be.

"Hey dude, you want to see grand pa?" Jun asked Frio, who nod immediately. They run towards the back of the house, i just stared at them with a smile on my face

"By the way sweety I'm Nari Matsumoto, you can call me mom"

"Oh no, no need ma'am. Jun and i are just friends"

She just laugh at me "i dont know what Jun is thinking but i want to apologize on his behalf. I am really sorry, i know you went through a lot. And thank you for raising Frio, so well."

"Thats what mothers do" i smiled at her

"But sweety, please be honest with me" i look straight in her eyes "you still like him do you?"

I was shock by the sudden question. "I-ah-i dont really know" i answered honestly

She just sigh "i wont tell you about your feelings because im just observing but i know you'll figure it out anyways"

I smiled at her "i should probably greet Mr. Matsumoto" i walk towards the back but before i reach the door, she said something that made me stop. Making my heart beat crazy.

"But one thing i'm sure of he still loves you"
