I wake up to the sound of dads land rover outside at 6:45. I might as well get up now.

I walk to the bathroom and wash my face and brush my teeth. I have a quick shower and wash my hair, get dresses and now have an extra 30 minutes before school.

Ella is already up, I get her changed into her little dark blue uniform and feed her. just when I am about to leave mum comes down the stairs looking as tired as ever.

"Hi mum." I said "do you want me to take Ella to school?" I ask
Mum hesitates.
"Yes ok, be carefully now ok?"

We walk down the path. I start the convocation.

"What are you doing today el?" I ask
"I don't know." she shrugged.
We got to her small school at the end of the road, then I head to my school.

When I arrive hardly anyone is around, so I make my way to class.
I am late, everyone is here. And next to my seat is a girl. A a small brown haired girl. who is she?
I walk towards the desk and sit down.

The girl is pretty. The brown hair is falling over her dark eyes. She's dark and tanned and smells of vanilla.

"Hi." I say "what's your name.?" she looked a bit scared but answered.
"Melanie" she whispered "yours?" her accent was rough, strong, vivid.
"My names vicky." I said.

The lesson began. it was English so we were writing poetry. Melanie was very good at it. She wrote paragraphs and paragraphs of amazing poetry about wild horses around Ireland.
Mrs Devlin thought it was so good she read it out to the whole of the class.

I liked mMelanie a lot. She seemed so nice. You would if she offered you a job like she did.
