The Power of a Dream

There was a young girl living in a small town.

Who, always dreams larger than life.

In her heart, she just knows it would happen one day.

She not only believed in it, but lived with it.

She really doesn't care if no one understands.

Every day she prayed to the lord above.

That one day she will live to see that dreams realized.

Until then, she will live her life taking one step forward.

For years, she kept on waiting for that dream to come.

And each night she sleeps full of disappointment.

Along the way she forgot herself.

But endures it all because she believes it was a small price to pay.

She thought that dream was all that matters.

Never did she know that she was driving herself to loneliness.

And she was sailing alone towards her goal.

Oblivious of what's going on outside her bubble.

Because she was so focused on that dream,

She forgot she had family and friends.

Who was there for her, but never acknowledged.

Until they all gone and left her by herself.

Soon she realized that dreaming could be deadly.

And letting your heart consumed by its beauty.

In her mind, it's never too late.

To dream big and correct the past wrongs.

She was surprised how joyful to share her dreams.
