Marinette just arrived and everybody was waiting for Alix to arrive at Trocadéro to race Kim.
"Good news dudes! We can have a sleepovet at Adrien's place! This is a once in a lifetime event that his father accepted so make sure to come!" Nino said
"Cool!"
"Nice!"
"You all picked the wrong side to cheer on. Looks like Alix isn't even showing up! Probably too chicken to race an extreme athlete like me" Kim said
"Spoke too soon, Kim" Alix arrived as everyone cheers her on. "Your ridiculous bets are over. I'm gonna leave you in the dust, meathead!"
"You're no match for me. My neck is bigger than your thigh" Kim said
Alya laughs "Is that a good thing?"
Marinette laughs.
"Let's review the official rules. 2 laps around the fountains approximately 500 yards. The first one over the lines declared the victor! If Kim triumphs, Alix will relinquish her rollerblades to him. If Alix triumphs, Kim will be prohibited to make another dare for the rest of the school year" Max says
"We're through with all of those stupid dares!" Juleka said
"Uh-huh, that's right!" Ivan said
"No more dares!" Nathanael said
"On your marks, get set..."
"Hold up!" Alix cut Max's sentence. Kim falls and the students laugh
"Forfeiting already?" Kim asked
Alix gives her watch to Alya "Hold on to this for me, will you, Alya? I don't wanna drop it during the race"
"Hold on girl, I can't! I got a..." Alya got cut off
"Guard it with your life. It's a family heirloom!" Alix skates back to the starting line
Alya gives the watch to Marinette "Marinette, take this. I gotta record the race for my blog!"
"On your marks, get set...GO!"
Alix and Kim start racing, Kim on foot, Alix on her rollerblades while everyone cheers on.
"But... she asked you to hold it. I gotta hold up the banner!" Marinette is suddenly pulled to the side and drops the watch, which falls in slow motion until Adrien catches it.
"Need any help?" Adrien asks
"Uh... yup! Thanks. Gotta be careful! Even if you are amazing" Marinette said
"Uh?"
"At... holding things! In your hands" Marinette continued her sentence as everyone is cheering.
"Last lap!" Max says
"Amazing at holding things?" Alya repeated what Maeinette said
Marinette chatters.
"Adrien, what's that? Some super old case or something?" Chloe grabs the watch from Adrien
"Careful, it's Alix's!" Adrien said
"Really? It looks cool" Chloe said
"Please give it back to Adrien, Chloé" Marinette said
Chloé opens the watch and gasps.
