Chapter 7

A man came out of the bushes.

"Help him!" Rick cried

"Find a man named Hershel he'll help your boy." the man said

Rick grabbed Carl and started running as I followed. We came to a big white house we saw a girl on the porch.

"Daddy!" the girl called

An old man came out.

"He bit?" the man said

"No shot by your man! Please help my boy!" Rick cried

"Bring him inside." the man said

Rick brought him inside and laid him on a bed. The man started getting ready to operate.

"I suggest the girl waits outside." the man said

"Hell naw." I said

"C'mon sweetie." said an older woman as she brought me outside

I met a girl name Beth and her sister named Maggie we started talking when I heard Carl scream. I jumped up.

"I should be in there." I said

"Just relax my daddy will help him." said Beth

I started to relax when Rick and Shane came outside with the man that shot Carl.

"Where're you going?" I asked

"Shane and Otis are going to find some supplies for Carl." Rick said

Shane and Otis left.

"How's Carl?" I asked

"He's stable." Rick said

Then Maggie rode up with Lori.

"Is he alright." Lori asked

"He's fine." I said

Beth and I were talking about things when Shane pulled up and got out.

"Where's Otis?" Hershel asked

"Didn't make it" said Shane as he handed the stuff to Hershel.

Something didn't see right about him.

I walked in the room Carl was in. I sat on the chair beside his bed. I started to drowse off.

"Hi sweetie." my mom said in the hospital bed

"Hi mommy." my three year old self said

"Sweetie I love you and your daddy but I have to go away for awhile." she said coughing

"Why can't I come with you mommy?" I said

"It's not a place for little girls sweetie, but your daddy and Uncle Merle are going to take care of you." she said crying

"But I want to come with you mommy." I said crying

"I know sweetie but remember I'm going to be your special star okay."

"Okay mommy." I said

"I love you and your daddy okay." she said coughing loudly

"I love you to mommy." I said

Just then doctors and nurses walk in and start taking my mom away.

"Mommy!" I start crying

I sit there crying for awhile till my daddy runs in.

"No!" he starts screaming

"Daddy?" I say

He comes over and picks me up.

"C'mon Cher lets go home." he says quietly.

I woke up and ran outside. I was walking until I was shoved up against a tree.
