1) So what story are we going to be talking about?
A PIrate's life for me- Calypo's Quest bk 1
2) What is the book about?
Basically everybody thought all the pirates were killed centuries ago but they are wrong. Brandy Miller is a girl who befriends a hot pirate and ends up getting held as prisoner on a pirate ship. The pirates, along with other pirates, have to help a sea sorceress, Calypso, find certain things to bring her old lover back to life. Its a fictional novel full of romance and adventure.
3) What gave you the idea for a pirate series?
I was thinking about watching Pirates of the Caribbean several weeks ago and thought it would be cool if pirates were actually still around but could hide from us. I was thinking it would be a very interesting story because there are not so many pirate stories around so I finally talked myself into starting it.
4) Nice! Have any other movies inspired your writing?
No others that I can think of off the top of my head but I watch a show called "The Vampire Diaries" and one of the characters is a cocky bad boy. So that helped me figure out how I want my main male character to act like mixed in with some of my own ideas to make it funny.
When I was in 6th grade, 4 years ago, I read a novel called "The Black Duck" that dealt with pirates so that helped me too.
5) Well thats always good to get inspiration! What made you start writing?
I've always wanted to be a writer and started a story about a year ago but stopped because it wasn't going anywhere. I have an app on my itouch, High School Hero, that has a forum section including a "stories" thread. I started reading stories on there and my inspiration came back pretty quickly. Ever since I've been writing.
6) What made you find WattPad?
On High School Hero some of my readers would ask if my stories are on Wattpad and I would see people asking other authors too. I asked one of my readers what it was and she explained. That night I searched the website and decided to give it a try. It was definately worth it!
7) Glad that it was worth it! Do you plan on publishing any of your stories?
I really want to. I have been told I am really talented when it comes to writing by numerous people. It would be really awesome if I could.
8) Well I wish you luck in the long run. Is there anything you want to accomplish with this interview? Is there any addition things you'd like to say?
I hope by having this interview it will get me some more readers and help inspire others. I would like to thank you for taking the time to interview me and my fans for being loyal!
