It takes several minutes for my heart to return to its normal pace. And even though my blood is pumping normally, my brain is not. Does this mean he will remember me? Has he seen it all too? Tori's voice disturbs my thoughts, "You know him?"
Her question puzzles me. Have I meet him? Maybe in the simulations, but that wasn't real, right?
I begin to answer anyway, "Well, I guess-" but Tori interrupts me, " I'm sorry Beatrice, but you have to go. You've been here too long."
"How long?" I ask, fascinating by the fact that I haven't asked before.
"Twelve minutes." She says. Twelve minutes. For what felt like days, weeks, months, has really only been twelve minutes. I suddenly feel dizzy. My vision blackens, and I feel myself fall into Tori's arms. But I tell myself they're Tobias's.
