My breath catches in my throat,
making me exhale sharply.
You mirror me,
my unholy refection,
but the smile you wear on your lips a flaw in your façade.
I gaze into the eyes of a product of our god complex,
we gave unto you willingly our mind,
tentatively our body,
and unintentionally our soul.
We were your creators and you our demise,
the fine lines defining us blurred.
My humanity stripped down to carbon over silicon,
knowledge over data
and blood over metal.
