Secrets

As Bethany walked down the street to the library , she felt a weird sense of foreboding , and thought , well this is weird .

As Bethany stepped into the library , she saw all of the wonderful books and thought , I love the library ! Because Bethany walked into the library the people at the tables got up and left and the librarian went into her office . Bethany saw this and thought, well that's weird . As Bethany looked through her favorite section of books, that weird sense of foreboding came to her again and she thought , why do I feel this way ? She kept looking through the books until...... "Bam!", a huge dragon crashed through the wall next to her! Bethany freaked out when she noticed that everyone else in the library was just sitting there ! She raced out of the library as fast as she could but when she was outside , she could see dozens of dragons !!Now, Bethany was on the verge of a heart attack ! She ran down Hickory street trying to avoid the dragons along the way . Finally she reached her house , she flung herself on to the door trying to get it opened when she realized , it was locked !!! Bethany jumped over the fence trying to get to the back door when she came face to face with a dragon ! Bethany ducked under its massive legs and ran for the door .

Once she was in her house , she searched frantically for her parents but could not find them anywhere ! Instead , she found a note from her parents that said , "meet us on the corner of maple and hickory street " . Bethany was stunned . Her parents were expecting her to go back outside and face those dragons !!

'I can do this ' , thought Bethany as she stepped towards the door. Bethany had gathered a sort of survival kit of stuff she thought might help her : matches, energy bars, bottled water, etc. Bethany looked out the window and saw that the house across the street was on fire !! 'Wait ...' , she thought, ' why isn't my house on fire ?! '. Bethany knew at that moment that there was something weird and different about her and this town .

"Finally!!" , exclaimed Bethany , as she arrived at the corner of Maple and Hickory Street. To get there she had to duck under a huge dragon to avoid getting fried. She also had to climb a tree to avoid getting mauled by two cute but ferocious , baby dragons . When she arrived, all she saw was an old,creepy,and run down shack. 'Well', she thought , 'This must be where I am supposed to meet them.' As she walked into the shack , she didn't see her parents at first but noticed them when she turned the corner she saw them in what she thought was the kitchen .

"Ok mom,dad spill it !What are you hiding ?!", said Bethany when her parents noticed her . "Ok honey, come sit down first", said her mom as she pointed to the chair next to her. "Beth, said her dad," We should have told you this earlier but, we did this for your protection,". 'What did he mean?! ', thought Bethany, 'What's the matter with me ?!' . " Beth you are a Dragon Tamer." , said her dad. "What the heck are you talking about ?! " , exclaimed Bethany , "How can that even be possible ?!" . "Calm down sweetie, let me explain,", said Bethany's mom, " you are a Dragon Tamer. You are the girl in the prophecy, you are the girl that will save the dragons."
