11 - A Piece Of Home

I decided to take Amina somewhere I haven’t shown any woman ever even Evie. I barely even knew Amina for that long but I felt like I could trust her more than anything. Something screamed a normal woman despite the fact that she was a stripper she still showed a regular woman.

“So is this acceptable?” she said walking out of her room wearing a Lion King Crewneck sweatshirt and black jeans and matching Lion King Toms and silver jewels. I got up squinting my eyes and she rolled her eyes turning back into her room until I grabbed her hand and turned her around facing me and kissed her softly on the lips.

“You look beautiful alright aint nobody trying to judge you.” She smiled, rolling her eyes and picking up her purse and looked at me.

“You ready?” she asked and I couldn’t help but to stare at her and grin.

“Yeah I hope you like cookouts.” I walked out of the apartment to the car.

“Cook what’s?”

We pulled up in Carol City and parked in my mother’s driveway and saw almost everyone posted up in the driveway. I got out the car and walked over opening the door for Amina.

“Damn Jaye, who’s the beautiful goddess that just got out your car,” my cousin Ian said wiping his mouth and giving Amina this seductive look.

“Your momma bitch, now stop looking before I pluck them shits out for you nigga,” I threatened.

“Language boy, language!” my mom yelled shaking her head and I sighed smiling and gave her the tightest hug.

“I missed you too mama, you know I couldn’t stay away from the fam.” I said and she couldn’t help but to smile at Amina was hiding behind me. From the looks of it she was freaking the hell out because she was meeting my family.

I held her hand and moved from behind her.

“Ma, this is Amina, a friend of mines from the apartment.” I introduced and Amina smiled shyly.

“Oh I didn’t know you had a girlfriend!” my mom yelled and I raised my brow at her and looked at Amina as she was as lost as me.

“No we’re not together.” She shyly smiled and my mom smiled shaking her head.

“Honey I know a couple in love when I see one. Plus you’re right eye twitches when you lie.” My mom said and me and Amina both looked at each other and laughed until Amina was snatched away from me.

“Jaye honey, go and help you daddy with that damn grill,” then she turned to Amina, “You my lady will be helping me in the kitchen.” She smiled and pranced off with Amina as if they were best friends or something leaving me here more than clueless.

“Ay Cuz, what happened to home girl Evie?” Ian said making me quickly turn around.

As far as everything was I didn’t want Amina to know that I have been dating Evie and didn’t want Evie to know that I been fucking Amina because it was going to start trouble and trouble that could destroy my life.

I looked around checking for Amina everywhere then looked at him.

“I aint fucking with Evie alright, it’s real complicated between me and her,” I admitted.

He cleared this throat and leaned on the old Toyota truck that my dad has been sitting there for years.

“It finally hit you Cuz,” I looked at him and raised to question.

“Finally hit me like what?”

“That these stripper hoes aint loyal man!”

Here comes these stripper hoes aint loyal speech from Ian. I felt like I heard that shit every other day that I’m with the nigga. These stripper hoes aint loyal, bouncing around the assets that’s supposed to be for you. I swear he said the same thing about thirty times before I got tired of the shit.

“Listen, these stripper hoes ain-”

“Amina is a stripper, way more conservative than Evie right? And don’t say no cause if I aint tell you, you would have that thought she held some office job.” I proved my point and he shut the hell up, I was tired of hearing the damn speech. Plus I wasn’t going to let my cousin disrespect a girl that I like.
