The Werewolf Princess

To the moon and back

Laying down in the bed I closed my eyes and was immediately engulfed into the darkness.

'Bri are you there?' I called out

Yep all good she replied happily

A bright light caused me to close my eyes and when I opened them the most beautiful woman was standing in front of me.

"My child" the woman said with a smile

"Moon Goddess" I said breathlessly

"Amberlyn my dear I've missed you" she said

"Me?" I asked shocked

She laughed "Yes you, darling your gifted"

"Only because of you, you gave me everything the magic, Bri and Sebastian and Taniah, you watch over us all" I said recalling the stories my aunt told me as a child.

"Amber you being gifted has nothing to do with me. My daughter Brianna died a long time ago in a terrible war. Before she did, she promised she would come back to me in the form of a wolf and inside of a special girl. Amberlyn, my daughter chose you because she saw what life you would live, all of the hardships and deception you would endure. She also saw you over come it and knew that with or without her you would be a great leader. You are the perfect person to be Queen one day and have already proven yourself to be a wonderful princess and Luna." she said

"Wait Bri is you're daughter?" I asked

"Yes" she said looking to her right. I looked over and found a girl my age who was just as beautiful as the Moon Goddess but strangely looked similar to me. Next to her was my great grandmother smiling at me like I've won the lottery.

"So you are my great grandmother's wolf?" I asked putting the puzzle pieces together

"Wow you're even prettier than I remembered" Bri said

"Me? Bri look at you! You're glowing, like actually glowing" I said smiling and hugging her "Thank you" I said

"You're welcome" she said happily

"So what now?" my great grandmother asked

"I am taking you away from the human world, you'll spend eternity with all of your loved ones happy here" the moon goddess told her before turning to me "The remainder of your great grandmother's magic, strength and wisdom will be transferred over to you. Use this power wisely" she said

"That mate of yours is freaking out" Bri said casually

"Is it time for me to go back?" I asked

All 3 of them nodded "Keep you're daughter safe and make time to visit all of the packs, meet your people and let them put a face to this wonderful reputation you've created for yourself" the moon goddess said

I nodded at her every word entranced by her gracefulness.

"When we get back some things will be different" Bri said

"What things?" I asked

"Well for one I'll be able to separate from you in times of emergency, you'll be in full control of your body and I'll be next to you in wolf form" Bri said

"You'll also have my mark" the moon goddess said

"It's basically a really cool tattoo that everyone's wolves recognize as the Moon Goddess's mark" Bri said

"Be strong my dear" the moon goddess said before I felt like I was falling. When I hit the ground, I opened my eyes and sat up breathing heavily.
