Marilyn arrives at the old payphone. I'm perched on the bike waiting for him.
He doesn't even say hello, he just pulls me into a massive hug. We are so close together.
His eyes look into mine, searching for what I am feeling.
"What's the plan?" He sighs looking at me.
"I have three"
He lets me continue.
"First is I run away, we meet her every night at 6 pm"
"Second is we run away together"
"Third, my least favourite, is I go to boarding school and get expelled" I finish.
"I cant run away Eb, I just cant, my mom" he sighs looking at me.
"I know"
"So Plan 1?" He asks
"I will try it. If it gets too hard I will come back, get expelled then get re-enrolled in Shawlake" I smile.
He looks like he's gonna cry.
He wraps his arms around me and kisses me, with a passion and fire I have never felt before. We stumble backwards and my back is pressed against a tree.
Eventually, we stop and he looks at me as I walk towards the bike.
"Goodbye Ebony"
"Goodbye Marilyn"
